James Kaufman, World News Report Today.
Truck hauling COVID, herpes, and hepatitis C
infected monkeys overturns.
A very aggressive monkey infected with COVID-19 and other diseases
is on the loose near Jasper County, Mississippi.
On Tuesday, after a semi-truck
21 primates overturned
while transporting them from Tulane University to an out-of-state
testing facility in Florida.
All 20 of the other infected monkeys
were destroyed after the accident, according to
the Jasper County Sheriff's Department,
except for one that has gotten away.
We're continuing to look for that one monkey.
He's still on the loose, the sheriff's department reported on Facebook.
We have been in contact with an animal disposal company
to help handle this situation.
The monkeys weigh about 40 pounds each.
They carried hepatitis C, herpes, COVID,
and other infectious diseases, according to authorities.
Why would these monkeys be shot up with so many deadly diseases?
These people are nothing but a bunch of nut jobs at these labs.
The accident occurred about 2 p.m. local
on Interstate 59 near mile marker 117,
117 about.
about 86 miles east of Jackson, Mississippi, near Heidelberg.
The truck was headed to Florida, according to officials.
Well, it should have been on I-10.
Tulane University is in New Orleans
and I-10 goes right to Florida or 59 goes north.
Tell us more.
The Sheriff's Department warned residents living around
the area of the accident
and not to approach the monkey if they spot him.
They do pose potential serious health threats
and are very aggressive.
The Sheriff's Department posted,
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries,
and Parks was on site with local law enforcement.
Tulane University was notified by authorities.
Tulane University released a statement stating
the monkeys should not be infectious.
Well, they have COVID. How could they not be infectious?
Quote, non-human primates
at the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center.
are provided to other research organizations
to advance scientific discovery.
They're infected with herpes, they're infected with hepatitis C,
and they're infected with COVID.
What is going on here?
Tulane University said in a statement, quote,
the primates in question belong to another entity
and are not believed to be infectious, end quote.
The sheriff's office said the truck driver told authorities
the monkeys were very dangerous and posed a threat to all humans.
We took the appropriate actions after being given
that information from the person transporting the monkeys,
the sheriff's office said Tuesday night.
He also stated that everyone has been wearing personal
protective equipment when handling the dead monkeys.
Unbelievable.
If anyone is harmed, Tulane should be held completely responsible.
There's no reason these monkeys should be on the road, A.
And B, there's no reason these monkeys should
be infected with all these diseases.
What good could possibly come of that?
Be on the lookout for a crazy, aggressive,
infectious monkey if you happen to live in Mississippi.
God bless, folks.
Please share this with your friends and family in Mississippi,
and please give us a thumbs up.
Always remember, anything's possible, bizarro world.
