One of the City's longest streets and the site of its most symbolically important relic. Linking the Monument to St Paul's Churchyard, Cannon Street traces the route of the ancient riverside track that ran alongside the Thames towards the Strand.

Opened in 1866, London Cannon Street connects the south and southeast of London with the city, serving as an intermediate station between London Bridge and Charing Cross. It has an iconic design, conceived by Sir John Hawkshaw and John Wolfe Barry, and is characterized by its two Wren-style towers which remain today.

Bloomberg London is an office building in London, which was opened in 2017. It is owned by Bloomberg L.P. and functions as its European headquarters. It is at 3 Queen Victoria Street, west of Walbrook, on the site previously occupied by Bucklersbury House.


Watling Street was a Roman road in England that ran from Dover west-northwest to London and thence northwest via St. Albans (Verulamium) to Wroxeter (Ouirokónion, or Viroconium). It was one of Britain's greatest arterial roads of the Roman and post-Roman periods.
The name came from a group of Anglo-Saxon settlers who called Verulamium by the name of Wætlingaceaster. This local name passed to the whole of the Roman road (Wæclinga stræt) by the 9th century. The tendency to give the name to other main roads is postmedieval and is often mere antiquarianism.
