Chicken Salad Recipe, Watermelon Look-Alike - Салат Арбуз Рецепт

Hi guys! Welcome to my YouTube channel Alice's Yummy Food. Today I'm going to be making a special salad. Now it's a Latvian salad but I did a little bit of a twist and I'm going to make it look like a watermelon. So your guests will be wowed and very very impressed. Okay, let's go over the ingredients. So we're going to be needing one onion, one tomato. I've got two chicken breasts here, so it's about 250 grams. And I've boiled it in plain water. Half a cucumber. About 300 grams of mushrooms, about 200 grams of grated cheddar cheese, 2 hard boiled eggs, I've got a few black olives, about 8 pieces, and about 3-4 tablespoons of mayonnaise. So the first thing we're going to do is fry our onions with our mushrooms. By the way, I've got these awesome sharp knives. I think they're Japanese. And it's a present from my friend Dennis. Thanks so much. So I'm going to be using that today. And you can see how sharp it is. So we're going to start cutting our onion. How I usually do it, I like to just cut them into stripes so we just Move away gently. Okay, so we've put a little bit of olive oil or butter, whatever you prefer, into your pan. Once it's hot, we're going to dump our onions in there. Fry them for a couple of minutes until they're brown, and then we're going to add all the mushrooms. Now we're just going to add the mushrooms. They are going to shrink, so it's okay. Don't worry. I'm really really excited to share this recipe with you guys because it's always been a massive hit in my family and with my friends and so to decorate the watermelon salad we're going to have to chop our tomatoes into cubes, grate our cucumber and grate our eggs. So once you've prepared all your ingredients just get a decorated plate that you're gonna serve your salad on and then we're gonna mix everything together and I'll show you how it's done. We're going to add some Some pips, which are made out of black little chopped olives. I'm going to drop them in here. Okay, my beautiful watermelon salad is done. It smells so fresh. You can smell the cucumber, the salad, the tomatoes. I just love the smell. It always reminds me of summer. And for some reason, it just reminds me of home. Guys, I really hope you try this recipe.
