Hey everyone, it's Deja from Knit and Crochet Ever After,
and today I have a new pattern reveal.
This is the Squishy Baby Blanket in knit.
This is in my Etsy and Ravelry shops and everywhere else
that I sell. I have some links in the description
to some of the shops that it's in, but this is
called the Squishy Baby Blanket because...
It's so squishy. The stitch pattern that's used in it,
which is a two row repeat, which I love to do
nice easy repeats, especially for projects
that you want to get through fast, because usually
when there's a baby involved,
you have a limited amount of time to start making stuff.
This is a super fast workup,
the squishiness comes from the reversible stitch pattern.
It just creates this kind of really squishy ribbing texture
that is so soft and cuddly.
So I really like this for babies because it's just so soft to touch.
This is made with Bernat Baby Sport in Funny Prints,
that's the name of the color.
It works, I guess.
They have other prints as well, but you can make it in a solid color
for, you know, gender-specific or nursery decor-specific.
But it takes about 1,200 yards.
You will use a US 6 4mm.
I use circulars to keep all the stitches on,
so I used a 40-inch circular so that I don't lose any stitches.
Which is, and...
It's a beginner pattern. It's so simple. The edging
is worked right along and it's a super simple garter stitch edging.
And then that actual ribbing that is kind of special.
It's not a traditional ribbing, so it's a little different.
So you'll have to, you'll learn a new stitch
and you'll probably really like it because
of the texture that it creates it's a 36 by 36 with that 1200
but you can definitely
adjust the pattern because it is a two row
or a two it's a two row repeat but it's also
a two stitch repeat so really easy to memorize
and work up really quickly so you can make it
It's going to get wider or skinnier just by adding two
or taking away two stitches at a time.
So, that's enough about that blanket.
You can go check it out in the links in the description.
