Talk about our forecast highs today.
It's going to be a little bit cooler even than yesterday.
So we'll be in the 60s in a lot of areas like Ontario,
69, 66 in San Bernardino.
Downtown L.A., just 70 degrees, 72 in Woodland Hills.
This is because we're looking at some pockets
of scattered light showers mostly right now.
We're watching a couple of weather systems
that's going to move closer to Southern California.
This upper level low is going to pick up all the moisture related
to this system here down to our southwest and all that moisture.
Kind of clashing a little bit with the colder air here to the north,
there's about a 10 to 20% chance we could see some isolated
thunderstorms as we get into tomorrow night, early Sunday morning.
So all of this influx of moisture right over SoCal.
If you're headed out to trick or treat,
make sure you have your umbrella and of course,
the rain boots. We've had some wet Halloweens before.
In fact, 2014 was the most recent one.
So it's been a while since we've had a rainy Halloween,
about a quarter of an inch of rain
there for downtown LA. 1987 was one of the wettest.
It was a record rainfall of 1.39 inches.
2003, I remember that one clearly.
We had over a half an inch in downtown and that.
Really soaked everybody.
As far as how much rain we're going to get with this system,
not much as we get into tomorrow morning.
A tenth of an inch of rain or less.
Maybe a little bit more in San Bernardino, but as we get
to Saturday night, tomorrow night into the overnight hours and Sunday,
that's going to be the peak of the rain,
perhaps an inch in San Bernardino, maybe four tenths of an inch
in Woodland Hills and Burbank, a little bit more in Santa Clarita.
Palm Springs could get hit pretty hard with almost
an inch of rain as we get into tomorrow night.
So anywhere from a half an inch to an inch and a half, depending
on where you are as we get into the end of this storm on Sunday night.
Here's your beach forecast if you're headed
headed to the coast, we still have that coastal flood advisory
for some minor flooding, two to four feet, occasionally five foot sets
as we look at 70 degrees today along the coast, 69 tomorrow
And don't forget to set your clocks back one
hour tomorrow night before you go to bed.
Downtown LA, 70 today to 68 tomorrow and Sunday
