With one weekend to go, there is plenty
of drama surrounding the midterm elections.
A ballot stacking scheme in Alaska divided Democrats in Michigan
and fiery campaign rallies
headlined by President Trump. Fox's Rebecca Castor in Washington DC
has more on the final sprint to election day.
The infamous Trump rallies are not over yet.
After initially scrapping two events this weekend,
Fox is told the president's trips to Iowa and Kansas are back on
as he fights to keep Congress in Republican hands.
Let's get out and do what we do best,
which is to win, win, win on November 3rd.
But Trump's not as popular this time around,
with many voters frustrated over high prices
and the unresolved war in Iran.
That's positioning Democrats to likely take control of the House.
Leaving the Senate the one to watch Tuesday night.
A lot of these elections are going to be a referendum on Donald Trump.
Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed is locked
in one of the tightest Senate races this cycle,
facing former GOP Congressman Mike Rogers.
El-Sayed's leading, but needs last-minute gains with Black
and Jewish voters to seal the deal.
He's looking to his primary opponent,
Congresswoman Haley Stevens, to get him to the finish line.
But her fiancé, a lifelong Jewish Democrat, is publicly backing Rogers.
And Stevens will only campaign
with El-Sayed if he condemns a campaign ad
blaming Israel for making Michigan unaffordable.
For people who probably voted for Haley Stevens
are not likely to vote for Abdul.
There's drama in Alaska, too,
after 12 Democrat staffers admitted to scheming
to get a second Dan Sullivan on the ballot.
That's the name of the Republican incumbent
who's in a dead heat with Democrat Mary Peltola.
She denies any connection to the alleged scam,
but a state investigation is underway.
If that race is too close to call Tuesday night,
the governor may wait to certify the results.
