Spooky season is full of ghouls and goblins,
but tonight we're making room for some gremlins.
The film franchise holds a very special place
in the heart of one Snohomish County man.
That's right. Ian Grant turned his home into a gremlins museum
with the world's largest private collection of props
and behind-the-scenes artifacts.
Fox 13 photojournalist Walker Anderson takes us inside.
My youngest five-year-old realized I have
a better toy collection than him.
What is that?
Mark one.
Don't shake it.
We're here at Gremlins Museum.
We're gonna have to open it now for Christmas.
Gremlins Museum is my little home of Gremlins memorabilia,
artifacts, props, puppets.
It's kind of basically everything you can imagine for a Gremlin.
I've been collecting kind of merch since forever,
but Puppets has been about six years and it's
sort of happened pretty quickly.
I've become the main kind of Gremlin puppet collector in the world.
To me Gremlins is sort of my earliest memories
and nightmares and so to me having the puppets
or really the actors here is pretty special.
Up here we have, this is one of the Gizmo Corvettes from Gremlins 1.
They only made, I think it's around four of them,
and it's a kind of RC'd up, you know,
just Barbie carve, essentially.
Their kind of acting days are basically over at this point
because the original foam is
rigid, and they would just kind of crack and turn to dust, essentially.
Some of the best artists in the world worked on these puppets
and so to me they're like you know
it's like having an art gallery here
and so when you see them in person you can really appreciate
all the detail and like masterful paint work
and everything that went into them it's really
just each piece is incredible.
Oh, a little gizmo there.
Well, there's only one caveat, David.
The Gremlins Museum isn't open to the public,
but you can take a virtual tour
and explore the archive yourself online.

And Grant says he's hoping to find the right venue
to put his collection on public display.
Don't feed him after midnight or put water on him.
Yes, no water, that's right.
