That's it. Subscribe and if I hit
200,000 by the end of the year someone's getting
$500 plus $100 gift cards that easy. Don't have
so
to do anything else. So let's get started on the booty base
much.
and I'll show you how that works.
So to begin the baby booties, we're going to do a chain nine,
and then we're going to turn our work
and begin in the third chain from our hook, the two that we skipped
are going to count as a HDC or half double crochet,
then we're going to half double crochet two times in that third stitch.
Yarn over and we pull through all the stitches.
Yarn over.
I hope you all are used to this.
Then we're going to half double crochet in the next five stitches.
So one half double crochet in each
of the next five stitches.
Usually working in the foundation chain is the slowest.
And we're also going to be working in the round,
we're going to start working in the round by working
on the back side of our foundation chain.
So you'll see that I am working on just that back loop
so that I can get into there.
So we have five half doubles.
Then, in this last chain here,
we're going to do 6 half double crochets to get all the
way around and start working in the opposite side.
Back into
that stitch
over and over.
Then, using the opposite side,
we're going to do kind of the same thing that we just
did.
We're going to half double crochet in the next five stitches.
So when you're looking, here's the six that we did,
here's the one at the very last of
the five.
So we want to work into that foundation chain
right above it, and we're just going to go
around everything.
One, so you'll see it kind
of pulls everything, but they kind
of go together, so it creates
It's like a little bit of a hole, but it kind
of comes back together as you're working.
So we have one more stitch again,
and technically this chain two counted as a stitch, so we
have kind of three here, we did six on this side,
we're going to kind of match that by
doing another three to finish off this side.
Then we're going to slip stitch
at the top of that chain two
to finish off our round.
There we go for the first round and the bottom of our sole.
Okay, so now we're going to do kind of everything in double crochet.
So we're going to chain three,
that's going to count as a double crochet, we're going
Double crochet in that same stitch,
that one that we did our slip stitch in, and then we're going to
double crochet two times in the next two stitches.
So how we've kind of increased on these ends by,
or making rounds by increasing,
we're going to do the same thing with our double crochet.
Double crochet twice on that stitch,
and then double crochet twice in the next stitch.
Keep it straight
to get to the other end by doing double crochets
in the next five stitches,
just like how we did our half double crochets in the five stitches.
So to kind of match what we did here with those six stitches in one,
we're going to double those up.
So we're going to do two, two, two, two, two, two.
So two stitches each in the next six stitches.
Gotta get around that corner.
We need lots of extra stitches.
Okay, now we're going to do five double
crochets. So one in each of the next five stitches
to head back down to the other side of our sole.
Then we're going to have three stitches left over,
just like last time, but this time we're going
to put two double crochets in each of those three.
So this is a super,
anything baby related
is pretty super fast.
Baby booties
are fast projects.
Here we go, the very last stitch, and then we're just going
to join at the top of our chain three with a slip stitch.
So our sole is totally done
and now we're ready for the body of our bootie.
So that's how you work the base of the bootie
as you move on from there and just follow all of the
written pattern. It's pretty simple it's basically
just some half double and double crochets and some
decreasing so it shouldn't be too difficult.
I have stitch pattern tutorials for all of those
if you need them plus how to make pom-poms
so if you need to know how to make pom-poms with
the Clover Pom-Pom Maker that I suggest I have
a lot of tutorials for that as well. So
