Crafting cocktails and spells at The Black Salt

Thank you so much. How are we today? Yeah, doing well. So you have a unique bar because not only are you serving great drinks, but you have spells that are associated. So how did the idea come about? What are you talking about? Did a lot of manifestation work over having good cocktails and it was a really personal experience for a long time and was given the opportunity to open this bar, presented the idea to a few people and they hadn't heard of anything like it before. So it's developed over time. The spells have definitely become more substantial since we've opened and third year I feel like we really own our operation now. Break down what that means, because you're talking about something very real, which is us creating our own reality and the power of our words, and you brought that to a bar concept. So when you talk about spells, how did you incorporate that into your business, and how does it work on a day-to-day basis? Yeah, metaphysical ingredients, a lot of them are also edible, right? So it's really fun to use spirits as a As a way to hold these metaphysical ingredients and consume them and then also use them in spell work. So there's a lot of different things that we don't hear. You wouldn't usually see in a menu that you'll come into our bar and see in the actual ingredients and in the spell processes. about empowering people to do their own spell work so we don't do any of the casting we provide you with all the ingredients and tools to be able to cast your own spell okay and we have about 15 different spells on our menu right now so there's a lot to choose from what do we have today let's let's get to this drink today we're gonna be making our idle hour one of our fall cocktails here's our Liquors that are involved in the batch and we also use a pumpkin syrup So we have our base Old Forester bourbon a couple of rums El Dorado 12-year and our plantation dark rum Some Amaro Meletti and Frangelico. Yeah, so for you too, and you've poured that in already Are you ready? I'm about to pour this. You're about to pour this? Yeah, I'm about to make a order. Right now? Yes. Okay, so that goes in so we are going to do a So when people come through and they're trying to understand the concept, how do you explain it to them? And then what is their reaction? Yeah, a lot of people kind of know what we are when they come in, but some people definitely are like, what is a spell? And we tell them spells are tools that help you create... A reality, a desire, manifest something that you want in your life. The cocktail we're making you right now is the Idle Hour, and the spell that goes with it is for focus and attention. So the process itself is about kind of hijacking your reality and being able to tell the universe or whatever power you want to work with that I want to own my own focus and attention. Kind of ground that in reality for you. So do you give people the words to say? Yeah, yeah. So I've got one out right here. This is our Idle Hour Spell. It comes with a cedar stick, a rooster feather, Thank you. some jute string, and a larvikite stone. And then the whole process is on the inside for people to put together. I have a finished one right here. So this would be more of a talisman spell, and the idea is that you charge this item and you could put it down on your phone, you could put it next to you at your desk. There's a lot of places you can put it, so you can say this is my focus and attention. I've charged this item and it will help me stay where I want to. You lock in. You lock in.
