Matthew Morrison returns to Broadway in 'Just in Time'

Matthew Morrison is back as Bobby Darin in Broadway's Just In Time for a limited three-week encore engagement. What is it like being Bobby Darin in Just In Time? It is surreal. I mean, the minute I saw this show, I was like, I have to do this show. It's such a special show. Morrison plays the legendary singer in this immersive musical, set inside a swinging nightclub and packed with iconic hits like Mack the Knife and Beyond the Sea. His first engagement earlier this year marked his return after more than a decade away from Broadway. For Morrison, it felt like something more. This is where I learned how to breathe. It just feels like... A homecoming, more than like a Broadway return, you know, it just feels like I'm coming home. The role itself is non-stop, but for Morrison, it's the connection with the audience that makes it all worth it. I mean, this show is just like being shot out of a cannon. It's really, I think I have 45 seconds off stage. This show is all about connection, and that connection I have with the audience every night is so beautiful, changes every night. And if you're like me, thinking of stepping into Bobby Darin's shoes for yourself, he has some advice. Can you sing? I can sing. Okay. Can you dance? I can dance. Can you act? I think so. You're ready to go. All right. You have to be a true triple threat to do this show. Yeah. You have until November 8th to see him here at the Circle in the Square Theater. On Broadway for News 12, I'm Joel Crump.
