Just about 8.05 now. Vice President J.D. Vance cancels
a planned trip to St. Cloud today for a news conference on fraud.
Instead, the White House says other officials will be making the trip
to announce developments in the Trump administration's war on fraud.
So this is still moving forward in St. Cloud today.
Archie Newher is joining us from the Live Center with more
on that event and a couple of other canceled appearances. Good morning.
Hey, good morning, guys. Yeah, we are now less than five hours away
from federal officials who are set to speak in St. Cloud today.
That includes FBI Director Kash Patel and Dr. Mehmet Oz,
the Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator.
Now, at this point, the federal government has
not released any details on what this announcement will be about
and why they are doing that in St. Cloud.
We know Vice President Vance has canceled his appearance,
and that comes after the feds raided two autism care centers.
in the metro. One is Iska Inc. in St. Louis Park.
The other one is Bright Horizon Therapy Center in Edina.
Federal and state agents were seen carrying boxes
of potential evidence out of both of those businesses.
Both of them have not responded to Fox 9's request for comment.
Now, VP Vance cancels his visit to Minnesota
as the elections are now just a few days away.
President Trump is also canceling appearances as well.
He will not be at rallies in Kansas and Iowa this weekend.
He says he is now shifting to tele-rallies instead in 19 states.
The Republican National Committee says this will allow
the president to reach more voters before Election Day.
I'm going to do a tell around.
Tomorrow I'm doing Florida. He said, what's the reason
after doing what, 28?
He says, what's the reason for this, sir, that you're not going
to Kansas? You know what the reason is?
I don't feel I have to go to Kansas.
All right, so today's event in St. Cloud,
that is scheduled for 1 o'clock this afternoon,
and there will also be announcements
from U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besson,
who will also be in St. Cloud.
We'll have a crew there
and bring you the event live here on Fox 9 and Fox Local.
Guys.
All right.
Januha in our live center.
Thank you.
