Medicaid fraud investigation: Agents raid 2 Minnesota autism centers

Our top story tonight, two autism care centers are now closed after state and federal agents raided them earlier today. This all came just a day before the vice president's scheduled trip to Minnesota to talk about the administration's crackdown on fraud. Multiple sources close to the event, including the mayor of St. Cloud, telling Fox 9 that the VP's visit is actually going to be canceled tomorrow and we've reached out to the White House for comment. Back to the fraud investigation from today. Fox 9's Mike Manzoni is live in St. Louis Park tonight. And Mike, this is all time. Tied to a Medicaid fraud investigation. And Rodney Kelsey, we're outside ISCA Incorporated, one of those autism care centers tonight. You can see they have the windows boarded up now because it appears that agents earlier today had to bus through them. Now, the raid here happened around seven o'clock this morning. Agents carried out boxes of potential evidence. The place here in St. Louis Park serves as many kids, as many as 15 kids a day, I should say, seven days a week. But state records show Show that it failed an inspection as recently as just two years ago and over in Edina at Bronx. Bright Horizons Therapy Center, this is another place the FBI and other state investigators brought out what appeared to be some kind of records. This all happened just before 8 o'clock this morning, so shortly after the raid here in St. Louis Park. A man who works nearby told us that he was not surprised to see it. Us here, we've kind of been like, this seems odd, and just kind of been monitoring it. It seems like people just kind of show up real quick, leave, or there'll be days where No one shows up all day. Now, neither business responded to our requests for comment. We're live in St. Louis Park tonight. Mike Manzoni, Fox 9. And, Mike, we should note that we'll have more on the vice president's apparent cancellation coming up tonight with Pat Kessler as well in just a few minutes.
