The first thing to do is to loop one of the pool noodles into an oval
and secure it with an elastic.
Then repeat with the second pool noodle.
Now tape the end where the elastic is to secure it
into a loop. Then do the same on the other loop.
Next we will tape the loops together.
Lastly, cut a pool noodle in half and then cut angles into it
so that the tails of the bow will hang nicely
but still be able to be taped to the upper loops of the bow.
Then tape the tails to the loops.
Now for the tedious part.
Cut strips of 3 to 4 inches wide down the length of your fabric.
Once you have all the strips cut, now cut them into perfect squares.
Then take whatever pokey item you are using
and wrap the fabric evenly around it.
I wanted the shiny side of the satin to show predominantly,
so I placed the shiny side up
when wrapping it around the wine bottle stopper.
Then press it into the pool noodle.
Now repeat, repeat, repeat. This goes on forever.
It does take a long time to get full coverage
but it will be worth it when you end up with a fluffy beautiful bow.
Look how pretty it turned out. Now for the fun part, styling it.
This bow is great for a door, mantle,
extra large wreath or it could even go on a very big present.
So I hope you enjoyed this project and will give it a try.
