These Backstreet Boys fans say their 'obstructed view' seats were relocated to worse spots
Oct 30, 2026
But some Toronto Backstreet Boys
fans don't want it that way.
They're calling out Ticketmaster
and Live Nation for an obstructed seating issue
that was supposed to be fixed
for the band's planned Rogers Centre residency.
It's frustrating and it's destroying the entire experience.
We went from having fun and very excited about going to...
Be talking to you about, you know,
to the news about an issue that could be avoided from the beginning.
Backstreet's back.
The nightmare started when fans
who bought pre-sale seats noticed a few days later
their tickets suddenly included a warning
that the view may be obstructed.
After outcry, Live Nation said
the sightline concerns came up after the initial sale happened,
but the company did promise to relocate fans
to comparable full-view seats.
What they offered me in this case was moving
from Section 130 to Section 128, so it's almost
in the middle of the venue, but from Row 2 to Row 19,
so it's way further back, and my
understanding is, in terms of ticket value...
And she says the new ticket still says
the view may be partially obstructed.
Like, that's like, just another slap
on the face after slap on the face, the whole situation.
This fan says she's in a similar situation.
The new seats offered are much further back
and are now selling for about half the price she originally paid.
When she called Ticketmaster to sort the problem out,
she says she was told a full refund wasn't possible
and then was advised to resell her tickets online.
I was told several times on that call to lie.
And to not mention that it was obstructed
and hope that the person was just buy it.
And I asked them to clarify,
just to make sure I get, so you're telling me to lie.
And it was confirmed, yes.
You shall have to get your tickets sold.
In a statement provided by Live Nation,
a spokesperson said they'll reach out to fans directly
and apologize for the situation.
They further wrote, fans with obstructed view seats
are being offered relocation to seats that are not obstructed
and are comparable to what they were initially seeking to purchase
or they may choose to receive a full refund.
