The region is preparing for a busy weekend featuring Halloween, a parade, and a marathon, all supported by favorable, dry weather conditions and mild temperatures.
You know, especially when there's events.
Yes, I like a house guest like you.
But, yeah, leave a little bottle of wine.
Clean up a little bit.
You know, clean up for yourself.
Fold the blanket up.
And they'll ask you back.
That's right.
Blanket's good.
You're a good guest.
Mike, you house a lot of people.
I do.
Every weekend.
I've got people coming in this weekend.
Oh, you do?
It's the marathon.
Yep, and I have people that want to come.
I'm like, I'm already booked.
So it's one of those situations.
And other people that are in town that got their own places.
as well i mean oh yeah so they live in the city
and they're like oh my god we stay over yeah
he's the man well you know can i stay too it's
a good time it's a good time over there plus i
live on the parade route
so you know got the trifecta going on all right so here's what we
have a lot going on for us this weekend
and it's going to be a perfect weekend for everything we
got halloween we got the parade
and uh oh yeah we got the parade and then the marathon so all
these things are going to work out well
with the weather first of all we've got a cool start to
the day for you today. This looks great.
Dry stretch does continue for you today. I'm working
our way closer to two weeks. Now there
is another perfect fall weekend coming through for us here.
Even as we get into next week, it looks like it may stay dry.
At one point, there was a pretty
decent rain threat. Now it's kind of backed off.
We do have a dry sky here right now and our temps
look like this. 52 Central Park, 50 Newark,
45 degrees in White Plains, running just about four
or five degrees warmer now than it was at the same time yesterday.
And since the wind direction is
changing to the south if you have the wind
at all most folks do not have wind at this point but if
you have that wind coming in from the south it starts
to warm you back up and that's what should
be happening today as high pressure moves offshore
the winds around that circulate in a clockwise
manner so that gives us the southwest wind
and here we go so we have the warmer winds today and
into tomorrow until that cold front's approaching
now it's approaching tomorrow morning uh just then
uh as it makes its approach will we see the cooler air start
to filter in on the back side so that's
going to knock your temperatures back down we're warm today
and into tomorrow but then after that
the colder air starts to sink back into the core of the tri-state
and that'll keep your temperatures
a little closer to normal because right now today
and tomorrow your temps are well above normal by
close to 10 degrees if you're planning on going out
to do that whole leaf peeping thing the fall
foliage thing this week we're still
in the moderate color range here looks like the peak color should
be here by probably next week
and you've gone beyond peak in some of our northwestern regions
So keep that in mind too. You don't have to go anywhere.
Bottom line, you don't need a road trip.
High of 69 today, 71 tomorrow. A little cooler over
the weekend. Still comfortable.
