Atlanta police investigate fatal Cleveland Avenue shooting

And then at the top right corner there, that is a live look on Cleveland Avenue where there is a shooting investigation underway. It looked like at some point that they were going to give some sound. And that's exactly where I would like to begin there. We can take that full as Atlanta police are investigating that shooting. The officers did locate a male that was deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. While on scene, they were given information about a possible suspect vehicle. This possible suspect vehicle was located. And after a brief follow and a little wreck, the driver was detained. So right now we have a possible involved party detained. He's actually headed back to headquarters to speak with detectives. So we're still working the scene. It's still pretty fresh. But it looks like it was an isolated incident between some known parties. That's what the community has told us. Some kind of escalating dispute that occurred today in the parking lot of 5 Cleveland. A 56-year-old male pronounced deceased, and the suspect's back at headquarters. Do we know where that car crash happened? It was just east of this location. I don't know the exact address. Alta View, I believe, was an intersection. Any idea how long you may have been deceased before officers got there? I haven't checked the timeline, but it was quick. Between the 911 call to response time, very quick. So the officers did a great job, especially detaining a person of interest. So, fantastic job. And you said the suspect is back at the precinct, like he didn't have any injuries from the crash? I don't have an answer to the injuries, but he is back at headquarters, correct. Any reason for anyone in the area to be afraid of this? No, I don't think so.
