Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil returns to Columbia after US detention

Seeing the American public is finally changing, it's finally looking at the Palestinians as an equal human, looking at the Palestinian movement as a righteous liberation movement, and this gives me hope. The main responsibility of what's happened is Colombia, it's not the top administration. Because what Colombia wanted is to erase me, to erase any Palestinian voices on campus, so my return on campus, I consider it as a victory for me. They did not do it because they felt they need to do it. They've been blocking my return to campus for the past year and a half. But now I'm still in Colombia. Now the political calculation is different. And that's why they were forced to accept me on campus. But still, I think the work is not done yet. Like until we see real change, until we see that this country fully divested from Israel and Israel became that pariah As it is the pariah state, I think our work would confirm until we achieve that.
