CAR NEGOTIATION: Your Way VS Our Way: 8 Things We Do Differently to Get a Better Deal
Asking a car dealer for their “best price” might get you a discount. But how do you know when there’s more room to negotiate?
Kevin Hunter, The Homework Guy, compares eight common car-buying strategies with the approach our professional car coaches use—from making specific counteroffers to comparing complete written deals.
In this video, you’ll learn:
✅ Why we give dealers a number instead of asking for their “best price”
✅ How keeping other vehicles and dealerships in play strengthens your position
✅ Why a bigger discount doesn’t always mean a better deal
✅ What to say—and when to stop talking—after making an offer
✅ How a lower monthly payment can hide a more expensive purchase
✅ What to do when the dealer says “no”
Whether you’re buying a new or used car, these comparisons will help you prepare, evaluate offers, and decide your next move when the dealer pushes back.
