This video showcases a classic, American-made Baldwin grand piano available at the Artist Pianos showroom of Hollywood Piano in Pasadena. The presenter highlights the instrument's superior build quality, its historical significance among American piano brands, and its exceptional value compared to other premium brands like Steinway.
This is the Artist Pianos showroom at Hollywood Piano.
We call it Artist Pianos of Los Angeles.
In this room is the greatest collection
of premium pianos in the United States
where you'll see every possible selection of styles,
finishes from the greatest pianos of Europe.
Today, we're going to feature this piano.
We have today a beautiful hand-built Baldwin
that was built in Arkansas from the classic series.
You want to see this amazing piano? Stay tuned.
Well, you know that there's three major American piano companies.
One is Baldwin, then there's Steinway, and of course Mason & Hamlin.
Of the three, only Steinway
and Mason & Hamlin still make their pianos in the U.S.
Baldwin moved all production to China,
but we have an American-made Baldwin.
Now, the new ones follow the same Baldwin recipe,
with rock, maple, inner and outer rim, like this has.
And solid wet sandcast plates versus V-Pro plates.
So the new ones follow this recipe,
but this is a classic grand from the classic period of Baldwin grands.
And it just sounds wonderful.
Now, if this piano said Steinway on the front,
and I'd be hard-pressed to tell you that there's much difference
between a Steinway of this era and a Baldwin of this era.
You'd be looking at a piano that would be maybe $35,000,
$35,000, but we have this piano
for $79.95.
That's right, $79.95 for this classic American-made Baldwin.
Baldwin was the piano that was played by Liberace,
Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Dave Brubeck,
and I have one in my living room too.
So these pianos are really special.
They have a great singing quality to them
without having a shrill or thin sound
that some pianos have today.
So let's listen to it.
I hope you like this classic Baldwin or this is a bargain
of bargains at $79.95 in a beautiful walnut finish.
Come see it here at Hollywood Piano,
499 South Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena, or call us at 1-800-MY-PIANO.
That's 1-800-MY-PIANO. We'll look forward to seeing you.
