And you know who's going to be taking part
and enjoying this picture-perfect day?
The Falcons players, because they have a practice
this afternoon in just about an hour or so.
And they're getting back to work after Sunday's win,
looking to keep that momentum going.
Fox High sports reporter Emily Wisniewski joins us from Flowery Branch.
And Emily, you heard from Coach Stefanski today.
What was his message?
Obviously a big win this weekend.
A big win indeed, because the vibes are high.
Now, the 49ers, that was a game that not a lot
of people thought the Falcons were necessarily going
to walk away from with a win, but they did.
And now they've set the ground, they hit the ground running rather.
That is a great momentum to kind of take them into Tampa Bay
to face the NFC rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
And when we were talking to head coach Kevin Stefanski,
consistency has really been kind of like the biggest factor
because it's the Falcons are good.
It's just a matter of getting this team to click on all four cylinders.
that's kind of been the goal that they have heading into this game
but what makes this game
in Tampa Bay so special is the Falcons have a secret weapon
and that weapon is going to be
tight end Kyle Pitts he historically has performed
phenomenally against Tampa Bay we're talking in
his eight games you've got 40 plus catches 600
plus yards six touchdowns that's like basically
I mean it's just a career phenomenal stat he's an absolutely fantastic
and so getting him rolling
especially that is going to be key for this weekend
and that was a big point of emphasis
for Stefanski earlier. And so Emily you obviously got
to hear from him how he spoke for a little bit
of time we were watching it come
in on our feed here we just got the sound bite you sent in so
set it up for us what did he say
and what do you want us to hear from him? So Stefanski was asked
about what makes Pitts so special, what makes him a great tight end.
And you'll hear in the
beginning of the sot, it's sometimes you don't always get humor
with Stefanski. He's kind of
one of those people that's, you know, stone cold,
just kind of even keel. It's hard to see emotion.
And so the look on his face and the reaction he gave,
that's why I inserted it as a sot. So take
Listen, guys. I stood next to him.
Kyle's been very blessed by the good Lord. He's got great
size he can elevate great hands
and I've been around listen we all know in the red zone you
know the separation oftentimes comes vertically
and not horizontally and I've been around some
great guys that are just big and physical can get up
and go get the ball and Kyle's right in the
mix with those guys yes just the have you seen him like why
do you think he's been on a roll
because he has been on a roll rather recently
in these last three games and with again the
historic and what he's been able to do against Tampa Bay.
That is a big key in what the Falcons
need to continue this win streak they're on.
And so Emily, what is his key message to the players
about the game coming up? Just a complete game, starting fast.
I know those are the basics and
he said so himself that that's what you hear from every head coach,
but it's starting fast,
finishing fast playing a complete four-quarter game
and that's really the key and that's the
secret to him. Emily thanks
so much for joining us I know we're going to check in with you in
just about an hour for the latest.
Emily Wazowski from Fox 5 Sports thanks so much for joining us.
