Betting $100 Every Day for a Year: Day 295 (Sports Equinox Bets)

Losing day yesterday in this, which is weird because overall I had a really good day betting, but I guess the picks that I made for yesterday's portion of this challenge weren't the right picks to make. Two and three for a loss of $23, that brings our year-to-date record to 513 wins, 550 losses, 14 pushes for a loss of $139.25. all right it is sports equinox the 33rd time that all four men's professional major leagues are in action uh so to celebrate i'm going to do one bet on each 25 for each of these bets four bets one on each professional league let's start with 25 on my monday night football bet which is going to be tanner mckee over 193 and a half passing yards at minus 111 i am on the eagles but I got them at plus five and a half earlier in the week. Don't love it as much at plus four and a half. So I'm going to go with my player prop for this game, which as I mentioned is Tanner McKee to hit 194 passing yards. I think I could find a local high school quarterback that could throw for this many yards against the Cowboys defense. Dallas ranks last in opponent drop back EPA, last in opponent drop back success rate. Not good. So I kind of expect him to have a big game. Now with Saquon Barkley back, maybe they just hand the ball to him almost every play, but uh no i don't know as long as he throws the ball a decent amount he should he should be able to even he should be able to tear up this dallas defense uh then i got 25 on the brewers plus 103 against the rays in game three of the world series i'm gonna bet on them to take a 3-0 series lead uh i haven't bet these mlb playoffs almost at all um but generally my strategy i think i'm just not betting on it because i'm sour the blue jays didn't make it uh generally my betting strategy on MLB playoffs over the past handful of years is just bet on the offense that's been hotter. And in this case, it has been the Brewers' offense. If you look back since the start of September, the Brewers are third amongst all teams in wRC+. The Rays rank 18th in that metric. And also, the Rays have struggled against lefties at times, and they're taking on a lefty tonight in Robert Gasser. Is it Gasser or Gacer? Gasser, I'm guessing. Who has allowed just one earned run across nine innings pitched this postseason. So I'm going to bet on the Brewers as the very slight underdogs against the Rays. My NBA bet for tonight is going to be Chet Holmgren over 8.5 rebounds and minus 115. I don't bet on the NBA very often. I've mentioned that before, but with it being sports equinox, figured I would. And when I do bet on the NBA, I typically do just stick to player props. The Suns have played two games so far this season, and they have a rebounding rate of 41.6% through those first two games. That is 2% worse than any other team in the NBA so far this season. so I'm hoping that'll lead to Chet Holmgren having a big game on the glass he did just have a 17 round rebound performance against the Nuggets last week so we just need 9 rebounds from Chet Holmgren in that game and then my NHL bet for tonight is going to be the New York Rangers minus 130 at home to the LA Kings typically over the past few years the Kings have been a team where they've ranked really high in a lot of advanced metrics but their shooting percentage and save percentage have both been low which has cost them games this year at least so far they don't even have the advanced metrics to back it up 26 their expected goal differential per 60 minutes so far this season uh but they also still can't shoot uh 29th in shooting percentage also their goalie hasn't been confirmed if he's starting tonight but Darcy Kuemper .855 goals against average and .890 save percentage so they're not getting good goaltending they're not shooting well and their advanced metrics haven't been bad in my opinion they should be much bigger underdogs on the road against the Rangers team who might be a little bit underrated so far this season so i'll the Rangers minus 130 uh home favorites those are my plays for tonight's sports equinox enjoy the action gambler bless we will see you back here tomorrow
