Officials asking community to line fallen Deputy's procession route

A Van Zandt County Sheriff's deputy killed in the line of duty will be laid to rest this week. And North Texans can pay tribute to him during a procession later this morning. T.C. Mazinga is live at the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office where that procession will start. T.C. Hey, good morning, guys. Yeah, the procession will begin in the next few hours. But Dallas police will escort the body of Deputy Adam Sharifi from Dallas to a funeral home in Canton. So community members, they're being encouraged to line up the streets. And show support by lining the procession route. So the route goes from I-35 to eastbound Woodall Rogers Freeway, then southbound on I-45. The procession will then go on Highway 175 and then to I-20 towards Canton. It ends at Eubank Funeral Home off Highway 64. Now, Deputy Sharifi was shot and killed last Tuesday night while trying to serve a warrant. investigators say the gunman 42 year old Mieven Win shot at officers and was found dead inside his home another officer who was injured in the shooting was released from the hospital over the weekend deputy sharifi was a husband of and a father of three his youngest child was born just last month so this procession begins at 10 a.m this morning and then funeral services for sharifi will be held Wednesday, October 28th at Gravity Athletics, all happening at 1 p.m. For Good Day, I'm Tizia Muzenga.
