Battiloro pleads not guilty to murder charges

Vincent Battiloro, the teenager accused of killing Cranford best friends Isabella Salas and Maria Niotis, pleaded not guilty Monday to two counts of first-degree murder. The 18-year-old appeared in court in person for the first time, while his attorney said the defense plans to pursue diminished capacity and seek a change of venue. Prosecutors allege Battiloro intentionally drove into the two 17-year-olds as they rode an e-bike in Cranford in September 2025.
