Day three of early voting gets underway later on this morning.
And here in the city, the hours today are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Let's take a look at the numbers so far across the five boroughs.
Through two days, more than 165,000 voters have cast ballots.
For context, that number is slightly higher than the turnout through
two days of early voting during last year's mayoral election.
But it's behind the turnout two years ago
for the presidential election.
The governor's race, of course,
headlines this year's contests in New York State.
Mayor Zoran Mamdani stumped
for Governor Kathy Hochul yesterday in Crown Heights.
While the governor never said the name of her opponent,
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman,
she made her feelings for him clear.
I reflect back on Next Level Crazy.
He says that Donald Trump is the greatest president in his lifetime.
He says, I want to bring Trump-style leadership to Albany.
scary thoughts. It is a contest and a contrast between
a leader with a track record and someone
whose only ideas are to make a hard life even harder.
Blakeman campaigned in Yorktown Heights
with fellow Republicans, including Congressman Mike Lawler,
who is also on the ballot,
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis,
and former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.
Recent polls show Blakeman trailing Hochul by double digits.
He is hoping that Mamdani's presence on the trail hurts the governor.
Please take him everywhere you go, Kathy,
because I want to remind people that this
un-American, anti-Semite,
anti-Christian mayor is running the Democratic Party,
and Kathy Hochul is nothing more than his puppet.
The last election with Lee Zeldin was pretty close.
We got within six points of beating
that blank of a governor, Kathy Hochul.
If you are planning to vote early, remember
your early voting site could be different than your Election Day site.
Early voting will continue through Sunday.
