Battle of Plataea — Greeks vs Persians: The Forgotten Final Battle

In 479 BC, on the dusty plains beneath Mount Cithaeron, the fate of Greece was decided. The Battle of Plataea was the final, bloodiest clash of the Greco-Persian Wars — Spartans, Athenians, and Persians colliding in a battle that would end Persia's dream of conquering mainland Greece forever.

In this video, we break down the full story of the Battle of Plataea: Mardonius's fatal gamble, Pausanias's disputed retreat, the arrow storm that nearly broke the Spartan line, and the chaotic collapse of the Persian camp.
