Good morning, everyone.
Hope you're having a fabulous start to your Sunday.
Are you a Texans fan? Are you heading out to tailgate?
I know it's still early, but a lot of folks probably going
to be packing their bags, getting ready to go.
Weather's going to be awesome.
I mean, we do not have to worry about a thing.
Some passing clouds, a cool morning. Then the sun will be peeking out.
Low humidity. There we go. And then a big go Texans.
Hopefully we get the W over at the Giants.
Or maybe you're going to take the family out to a pumpkin patch later
this afternoon. You'll go to church. You'll have brunch.
A great day to do so.
I mentioned some clouds.
That's actually really good for family pictures.
And afternoon highs only going to be peaking in the low to mid 80s.
I say only because the last several days we've been in the upper 80s.
So anything below that is going to be feeling nice.
I mean, look at this.
Highs, Angleton, 83.
Similar story in West Columbia.
And then hanging out in the low 80s,
if not upper 70s, along our immediate coast.
As you can see, no rain expected.
I mean, we're talking nothing later on today.
But a thick veil of clouds will be likely.
then we'll start to see a bit of a break
in the clouds come monday still not keen on any rain
making its way through southeast texas that is going
to be changing though toward the middle
and end of the week could be seeing
a few scattered showers wednesday our latest fox
weather model has a lot of that rain out to our west
so we're talking in the sealy columbus area
but still a possibility of it knocking on the door of houston
then friday and into saturday
we are likely going to be seeing slightly higher rain chances
that's all thanks to a surge of
moisture coming in from the gulf yes most
of that rain will likely be falling in south texas but
wouldn't be surprised if some
of that does pass through southeast texas unfortunately for
halloween now does that mean that will
be impacting trick-or-treaters not necessarily
let's look at two of our forecast models
this is our gfs model okay some rain out in west texas it
will be hit or miss variety for us coming up on Friday
but then most of that rain on Saturday
is going to be shifting off to the north.
Our European forecast model on the other side of things
shows some really heavy rain in West Texas
heading to your Thursday, Friday morning,
likely going to be seeing those passing showers here in H-Town.
And then on Saturday,
could be seeing a few of those lingering showers by the evening,
but a lot of that heavy rain shifts out to the east.
So as you can see, unfortunately,
models, not an agreement on timing nor intensity.
So I do expect things to shift over the next few days.
As we end the month, though, and head into November,
likely going to be seeing some really heavy rain West Texas
and into the desert southwest.
I mean, New Mexico has been the bullseye
for flash flooding over the last several days.
And now that heavy rain going
to be likely across portions of our Panhandle
and then even into West Texas.
For us overall, we're going to be staying dry through
at least the middle of the week.
But like I mentioned, things likely changing
as we head into your Halloween.
So right now I have rain chances at about 30% coverage,
so don't cancel any plans, don't change the kiddos Halloween costume,
but it's something that we'll be watching
and bringing you updates on Fox Local.
