Testing Eagle for 1/4 Mile. Can we go 5s? (My FIRST time back in a Race Car)

And we're always trying to get people involved. And what better way than to get our homie like, yo, dog, want to drive a little gangster car? And then I heard that you called your homies. He was like, hey, what's up with this dude? What's up with this dude's car? Well, I'm nervous. Is it a good car? I'm just nervous. You know, from the outside, it looks potentially sketchy. No, that's all good. I mean, it's got nice wheels, but from the outside, it looks like it could have a 6-point mild steel cage that somebody did in their backyard. Looking from the outside. All right. I'm not saying it does, because it doesn't. I'll let you know that. You pick it apart. No, no. I looked earlier. It's a nice car. It's a nice car. It's a really nice car, yeah. And again, it's, hey, I just want to try and be safe, you know? That's all. It's a chromoly 10-point. It's nice. Yep. It was done well, right? My boy, Stephan. Stephco in Texas does a bunch of, like, basically all Fox Body ---- in Texas, right? Yeah. Big block. aluminum big block hey aluminum big block pretty nice right got the strange hot boy brakes on it stops real good shifts itself got the motion shifter in it need all the help i can get i mean look at this thing inside it's nice fuel tech yeah this is perfect like it's nice it's even got more than a 10 point really a little bit yeah yeah yeah no this is a nice car and it gets light i mean we're not racing it super light but it gets it gets light all right So, if you've never heard of Little Gangsters, what it is is a 5.30 index class, but it's no time. So, you don't get a slip. No. There's no times posted. We don't know what the tree is, what the other person runs, none of it. Right. So, and I think it's off the trailer. So, if we just came straight, the race is off the trailer. Well, I haven't raced anything. All three days is off the trailer. In a year and a half. So, I've got to get some testing in tonight because I don't want to look real bad, you know. Yeah. Have you told them what's on the line? All right. So, there's also a side bet. This is another reason I don't want to look bad. This is good, dude. I'm going to race this car Thursday. You're either going to race it Friday or Saturday? Yeah. And then Victor's going to race it one of the days. Yeah. Whoever goes the least amount of rounds has to shave their beard and grow a mustache until the Christmas tree race. And because he doesn't have a beard, he's got to shave his head. I'm not shaving his head. He's shaving his head if he loses. No, no, no. I'm not losing. I'm not losing. Here's another idea. And Vic's going to get on us for plotting against him right now. But if you race Thursday and I race Friday, by Saturday, everybody here is going to have their tune-ups dialed. That's a good point. Right? I need Thursday for sure. Yeah, you need Thursday. I'll take Friday. We'll put Vic in Saturday. Okay, yeah, yeah. Follow me? Good call, yeah. Because we all just want to see Vic with that. That would look good. That would look good. That would look good, yeah. We got to do that. Yeah, for sure. It's a good idea. So that's the deal. And we got to come up with the consequences. If you lose and you don't keep the bet, I think it's got to be a pretty hefty consequence. Like if Victor says, I'm not doing it, I shaved my mustache after week one, he's got a we got to have a or if i lose or whatever we got to have a punishment i agree what do you think would be fair or maybe comment below let's see what they think yeah comment i think it's got to hit hard because right like yeah yeah it's got to hit hard the first thought was just a thousand dollars to the people who didn't have to grow the mustache yeah but that's kind of soft and i'm gonna be honest the way victor's bank account works he'll probably just he'll probably donate the thousand here you go see you later yeah yeah i mean i'm on the way to buy another Supra and I can't go getting a Supra with a Johnny. After you pass, put that engine in first, hold trans brake, Poland's going to be out there, Poland's going to give you the left low right and the left low right, you're going to bring it back to neutral, you're going to clear it out, you've got to let them know we're here to race. So, you're going to wop it a few times, right? And at that point, we're going to come in here, we're going to turn the nitrous on, then we're going to purge it. okay at that point i pull this johnny down it don't care it's not going to care it's not going to care it's not going to care pull it into gear we can take the tree i want you to put it in the first beam i want you to turn the second beam on and then i want you to take another little just like i'm bumping it once you take a little bit of extra bite right and then cut the most extra light possible trying to go red every single No ifs, ands, or buts. Testing or not. Okay. Right? Yeah. And it's going to go 530 with a nine. First pass. All right. Got me. I'm ready. Quick instructions, but I think we'll figure it out. What do you think? Troy's got me for a steak dinner. He messed me up right there. He called me out. He couldn't help me, so it's all right. Either way, we'll get steak. I was trying to get the whole group a steak dinner. Like, loser has to get everything. Yeah, but then if I lose the percentage of me and Troy, probably not great. But I'm just saying. but you've been better at the tree than lately, we'll see, let's see what the tree is when he comes back right here we got a bee on your back bro, I don't know nothing about this we don't know what we got going on yet, maybe it's not a big deal, maybe it is a big deal but the blower's making some noise they fired it up or went to go fire it up, start making noise, we're trying to just make sure double check everything before we do fire it up because we don't want to have any issues with the blower if we can avoid it, I don't think we have a problem, these things just sound like things are falling apart all the time anyway, yeah you know like even when they're not falling apart they sound like they're falling apart, yeah they always sound messed up even though they're not just because we made the pass at FL2K, you know and you come off the racetrack and it hasn't run since then we don't really, not much that we've done since then, so if something's wrong you don't know, the only thing I did is I changed the blower gears but we got noise up here, I worked on it back here, so not the end of the world, just we'll see here, first part's gonna be pulling that freaking Yeah, I mean, just the fuel lines or a little bit of a Well, it's like the first real, maybe not even issue, but time we've really even had to maintain anything like this unexpectedly So hopefully we get it figured out. Obviously, there was no failure yet. We just wanna catch it before there is a failure Make sure there is no issue with these things. They go really long without having any issues So we'll see, our charger for the win, you know these things are awesome So I'm assuming it's nothing gotta check cause if you don't and you wish you did be too late you getting psyched up or psyched up yeah that's what i call it psyched up but uh yeah we're getting ready to go for our first pass got it they changed the settings they did some no prep stuff so they they tightened up the shocks we don't flip over backwards the rolling burnouts is gonna be something new i've never done that i think i'm ready i'm excited to get back in the car i'm really appreciative that Jimmie Dale's let me take the wheel for tonight and tomorrow and hopefully we can do something it was kind of all a blur I think I did okay but I don't know we'll see what the ticket says that was fun though that was a blast oh man i needed to get that one out of the way it's been a long time, I mean as you do that and you remember why you love this sport and it gets addicting really quick I just kind of get what it is, you're a bad dude, .020 on the it felt like it, like either hit a rev limiter out there, it's traction control, it rides the traction control, okay I've never felt that and the other thing I never felt, I know you said a wheelie, right? Yeah, with any car I've ever drove it does like this, this car is like you feel like it's carrying the wheels the whole time, oh yeah yeah yeah it's long traveling, okay so I was at least decent on the tree, you're a killer on the tree, you did a great job on the tree, .020 on the light, 1.32 to the 60, 3.51 went 5.30 with a 4 at 134.7 miles that's awesome, you coasted doing 9.0 my boy that's great dude, that was awesome dude that was, that was too much fun, this shouldn't be legal too much fun, that was a blast, hey .120 on the track I know, hey old 50 drives all right dude that thing drives great, like you said tracks a little bit tiny barely, yep we've got that issue we've aligned it, we've done everything you can drive that yeah yeah that's so minimal yeah absolutely you know I like the best about 50 right there this is what i like about these cars that thing over there you got to be careful you walk by it with a key in your pocket or something here pull that out there's your et right there pull that out pull that out what's that brick can't see looks like that looks like that cocaine brick yeah that columbian bam bam pull this oh that johnny's out how much are we pulling out here how much is all of it there's like 200 something pounds there's 200 pounds or so in here those are 25 a piece that's how we know yeah that's good we just hide it in the fender well so the car still works fine without it you just for no prep you we always try to even it out so it's just set up like this and then if we add 75 to each side we know it's yeah what's the update so get her back again while the boys were working on the car me and cameron been playing around we've been uh racing 530 little gangsta cars i don't know where oh cameron's car is back over here in the pits so we've just been playing around making some test passes while the boys are working on this one cameron made a nice pass super proud of him needs to get a little bit more throttle in the rolling burnout needs to know that he's not the one paying for that that car so he can you know he can beat on a little bit but we're gonna let him get one more pass and then we're racing in 530 trim tonight me and Cameron for dinner I think it's dinner for everybody so whoever comes hopefully you guys aren't coming but uh I want to save it on Cameron's wallet you know stay tuned getting ready to make a pass in Eagle first time in quarter mile trim have it out there let's go all right so Troy is also running little gangsters in this car here and we made one pass and he's gonna run next to us for the little little grudge race for a steak dinner it's not this these guys over here got some serious energy they do they're fired up they're more they're more fired up than i am sure so when i came back we were already meeting cameron said we're gonna race tonight these guys and colin says the one more pass jimmy dale attacks me says on your butt next pass right now so we're gonna do it right now we're gonna do it right now this is a good way for me to like he said stage next to a car and and get some more than just testing by myself yeah i need this you know we're doing it for steak dinner and you made good mention of uh we're eating steak either way that's a good thing we're getting steak it's all good either way i didn't get to go in a little deep on that when he was quick great well we don't know what the light was but i'm just saying no we get tickets that time we don't get a ticket at the start line oh they're gonna give us what he said oh yeah but it's in the tower right was it i felt like i left on a little bit i felt like you left on he just drove he had me and then i was close and it was close close dude you stayed i never lifted yeah no i never lifted never lifted but it was good on the lights though yeah i think you did great on the light i feel like i looked i felt like it was either on or i barely did he try to nip you it back into you i didn't see it it was the whole time we were because i'm sure this car mile an hour is better than a college so probably i think at the end it was like he even said it was real tight that's awesome it looked tight dude this thing's good though this thing's awesome i got nervous because he went in quick i told you i said you got me i know what You know what you did. You know what you did. We knew exactly what he was doing. I just had to get with it. I tried, instead of taking another bite, I just rolled a little further. Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry. You did great. You did phenomenal. All right. Well, as you can see, we have Eagle and Alain. They just prepped the track, and it's time to make our first test pass with Eagle with the big tires. Look at these things. Monsters compared to the 275s. We got a different gear, bigger tires. It's set up for quarter mile. I just got the word we're going to go about 800 feet the first hit and see how it goes. I don't know if they got it spiced up or the same. It's the same tune-up. It's obviously going to slow down a little bit because it's got a bigger tire and a different gear. But we've got to start somewhere. First pass at Eagle. Shaking everything down. Everything felt good. Ran pretty good. I think that boy said it went 397 at 197. We ran it a little bit further than that. And we'll go back to the trailer and assess everything with the new setup and see what we got. Hit it. All right, so it's kind of what we thought. I bet they left, Jamie left the same tune-up in it probably. We changed the tire and the gear, so both made it just a little slower up front. went 109 with a 3, 271, 397, 197 though, which is a good mile an hour today, and he lifted it maybe 700 feet and went 628, so we're not that far off of 5 on our very first hit on 315. It went down, and I can't be happier with that. This is not good. This is getting way too fun. 024. Dude, let's go. Yeah, yeah, good. 024, you went 5. I went 20 the first pass. Yeah, 024, you went 532. That was pretty good 024 on the light this thing's deadly consistent 532 and you went i mean coasted to 880 not bad that's quick yeah fl2k watch out you're that's crazy yeah yeah money happy with that so i don't think we need another pass the game plans to not change the car because right now what's our total package so if 530 is perfect and 000 is perfect then our total package right now is a 48 48 basically if someone went 48 on a tree and they went then i want to zero it'd be there it'd be the same package it'd be a hypothetical yeah right it'd be the same package right yeah it's not terrible so if someone went teen on the tree yeah and went 40 on the big end right you'd win i like it follow me i like it yeah yeah yeah shoot this is exciting well i'm messed up now yeah that's it i'm buying something we gotta buy something we'll be on marketplace tonight we're gonna make one more pass in 50 and i think probably there's one more at either yeah we do no no 33 533 533 yeah but you took such a big bite where'd it go oh oh 44 44 yeah it might have went farther but i feel like too once you hit the button it kind of rolls too i disagree but I think it could be a lot going on there too you just rolled in real aggressive yeah Cheese did warn me after you went 20 and 32. He's like, making another pass potentially just gets in his head. Yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? It's possible. I don't want this to get in your head. No, it's not. We can just throw that out the window. Swap from a 40 package to a 60 package. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, no, not ideal. Not ideal. Still, totally, you can win with that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Never going to win. Yeah. Because you don't have to. Right. No, that's awesome. Yeah. That's great. All right. All right. I'm excited. I'm out of here. Back up for our second and final pass of the Eagle. This has been an awesome night getting to race 50 and Eagle making its first quarter mile passes. I think Jamie spiced it up a little bit. It's going to leave on a little more RPM and I'm sure he put some more in it. Other than that, we'll make another 800 foot rip. There's no point in going quarter mile. We can get the short track with this gear and this tire there. We know we can send it out back. So we're going to get that up that short time quick and then we still have the nitrous. So We got a lot left, and it's already 1 of 97, which I think when Garrett ran the 572, again, that's with turbos, that's a mile an hour. I think it only went at 399. Don't quote me on that. I think it went 399 or somewhere in there. So we're already in the ballpark. If we can pick up a bunch more up front, I think we got a good shot of going as fast as Garrett went with the turbos, which would be pretty cool with his blower. All right, so we went 104 with an 860 foot. So we picked up 4 1⁄2 to the 60 foot, 265 to the 330, 392. with an 0 to the 8th mile, and we went 198.5 to the 8th mile, 6.17 at 179, so we're getting close to that 5-second pass, and we're lifting way early. A whole bunch of speed. Lifting way early, yeah, it's got some speed on it. We're getting close, we're getting close. All right, so we just made our second pass, which we made big strides in the right direction on that one. Jamie's real busy at No Mercy this week, so we had a bunch of stuff going on with Cameron driving his car you know 50 shades of uh of brown and i was making some test passes we had some stuff break on this so we kind of got delayed but ultimately we only want to make two passes tonight and i thought we did really well uh we ran faster than what garrett ran in quarter mile trim with the turbos the first you know basically i think almost the first pass um the second pass here we went 390 flat at 198 and a half which our mile an hour is the best that we've been so far since we brought the car out and that is without nitrous we haven't even turned on the nitrous yet that is just strictly hearts charger in the hemi there no nitrous 198 and a half to the eighth mile so the car feels really good pulled the chutes just this time just because um the last time we came through it is a little bit harder on the brakes and stuff i wanted to exercise using the chute a little bit i know you guys seen that in the finals at fl2k but we'll be back out here again this week. It is Wednesday night, week of Out for Blood 7, which is my event hosted by Florida No Time Racing. I think we're going to try, if we can, we'll run Friday night. But if not, we're going to try to at least make a pass on Saturday and see if we can step this thing up a little bit more, maybe dip into the fives. I mean, if I just hold this thing all the way to the quarter, it's definitely going into the fives. I mean, we lifted early and went 617 on that run, nearly 70 mile an hour lower than what this thing will probably run to the quarter. So i'm thinking this thing should go somewhere between 240 and 250 mile an hour we're thinking closer to 250 when it's optimized so uh went 179 mile an hour so we're basically 70 mile an hour from where we need to be so that just puts things into perspective for you guys but uh appreciate you guys following along on the journey and uh we will see you the next time we run this which should be in a couple days and uh wish us luck we're gonna turn it up well that's gonna do it For our day of testing, we got two laps with Eagle, four laps with Big 50, and it was an awesome day. I mean, I'm a little speechless right now. It's my first time back in a car in two years. I'm having an absolute blast. I hope that I can find a ride similar to that for the future because the little gangster stuff is awesome for me. I really love it. And Eagle is getting close to a five-second pass. I think by the end of the week, we're going to get one because that pass right there, based off the numbers, would have went fives probably if we went all the way out the back. we need to get the fuel right we need to get the tune up right up front no point in putting all those uh you know go all the way out back every time until we get the front right so we'll see keep an eye out for the videos coming up the following days because i think we're going to see some five second passes and then we'll be ready for maryland what this car was built for I know that's what you guys want to see, quarter mile and that's exactly why we're doing it, you guys help us get this car, you guys are the reason we can race this car and we want to show you guys quarter mile passes, that's going to do it for today's video, make sure you like, share and subscribe and we'll see you on the next one
