James Kaufman reports on a series of recent aviation disasters, including a miraculous survival in Brazil, a missing Russian airliner over the Black Sea, and a MiG-29 crash in Ukraine. He also highlights a fatal helicopter crash that claimed six lives and provides a grim tally of civilian and military aircraft lost during a 102-day conflict.
James Kaufman, World News Report today.
Ladies and gentlemen, we're looking at today's plane
and helicopter crashes.
This is Brazil.
It actually occurred today.
And believe it or not, the plane hits an apartment building.
It is losing altitude.
It's just taken off.
Everybody survived.
The two, well, people aboard
and three people in the apartment building.
The plane wasn't going very fast at all.
i guess speed has everything to do with it it
also didn't blow up into flames never got the altitude
they said that they had problems from the get-go
but in this case everyone survived including
three people that were in their apartments
that this plane impacted watch it one last time
And I would be very worried with all
those buildings not being able to get any lift.
Well, let's see what it's going to do.
Not much choice.
Unbelievable that everyone survived.
Right in the second incident that happened yesterday evening.
This is a Russian airliner.
It sent a distress signal.
And it was over the Black Sea.
It disappeared from radar.
There were 189 people on board of this plane.
I'm hoping that the Ukraine didn't have anything
to do with this commercial aircraft.
But it seemed to want to turn back there.
I don't know what a turn to red means there.
So that's what they've got.
Transponder stopped working,
and the plane disappeared with 189 souls aboard.
Gotta love flying, right?
Again, that was out of Russia over the Black Sea.
All right, this is a MiG-29.
It crashed in the Ukraine.
You can see the date up here, 6-16.
So two days ago, 2026.
I do have the crash site, but it's really, really bad.
They won't walk up on it.
They probably are afraid that they will get taken out
if they do by drones or something.
But I'm not even sure if it's a Ukrainian MiG-29,
if it was a Russian MiG-29.
Does anyone know what that tail signal means there?
Any help? Greatly appreciated. I will show you the crash site.
This is being reported by RT. You can see the crash site here.
We'll watch it a few times.
So short, there is all the debris burning.
People are surrounding it, but not very good footage.
that's the same mig crashed two days ago i wish
we'd get some better footage i looked everywhere
for it my apologies on that all right i know
that everyone knows that Oliver Tree
actually was killed in a helicopter crash a day
or two ago well this is Victor Wu the producer
and he refused to get on the helicopter because of his fear of flying.
He decided he would take a little bit longer and drive.
Well, let's just say it's a decision he'll never regret.
All six people aboard the aircraft perished
in this crash here shortly after takeoff.
And this gentleman, well, drove to the performance
and, well, found out that he had lost his star, I guess.
Anyway, again, the producer, Victor Wu, decided that he
was afraid of flight, afraid of helicopters, and he drove.
The other six people didn't.
It was just a day or two ago.
Now, you didn't hear about any of these hardly, but these are all jets,
helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft that were shot down during
this last hundred and two day war, started in February late.
Look at March.
Look, these are all, a lot of them are commercial planes,
a lot of them are fighter jets.
There's some drones, a couple MQ-9 Reapers, several of them, let's see.
Look how many were shot down. I've seen
at least 10 commercial flights as well.
They've been keeping up with every downed
aircraft during this entire situation.
And wow, it's just unbelievable.
Each month, how many aircraft were downed.
It is next to unbelievable. No idea.
And these are some more numbers
of the civilian operated aircraft.
Airbus A319, Airbus A320, two Airbus A340s.
These are all, well, a Boeing 737 Classic,
an Airbus A380, a Boeing 747, or two of those,
a Boeing 777, a Bombardier CRJ200, a Fokker 50,
Three Fokker 50s, this is a commercial, Fokker 101,
I'm guessing this is a Chinese plane, two of these,
McDonnell Douglas MD-80, two, one damaged.
Unknown, crap, one, three damaged.
So, just civilian planes shot down during this 100 days,
or that were brought down one way or another.
18. Unbelievable.
I think I'll take the bus or walk.
God bless, guys. Have a great one.
Please share, give us a thumbs up, and remember,
I'd rather take the bus, because anything's possible in Bizarro World.
