A look inside Washington State Horror Con

All right Halloween is just over a week away and there's plenty of spooky things to do this weekend that includes Washington State Horror Con. The event kicked off today at the state fairgrounds over in Puyallup drawing hordes of scary movie fans. Photojournalist Colby Murdoch got a peek at all the frightful fun. Spooky things get your heart racing. People enjoy the visceral scare, they want to feel that chill, that creep, that little encroachment of something's not right and they want to kind of revel in it. It's kind of a celebration of everything horror, it's horror fans, horror vendors. We have horror celebrity guests from some of your favorite horror movies. Devon Sawa is here, Casper and my little tween heart had the biggest crush. The vendors, there's so many great artisans. They're kind of going, wow, look at that. I know that film. I know that deep cut. That's something that I didn't think I'd ever see up on a wall somewhere. People who like killer clowns from outer space, they will buy literally everything on my table. I have a package deal just for them. some come for the panels all the celebrities will go over and speak at a panel you know give me stories behind the scenes on the Terrifier what's it like and so that'll be a big panel because we have the Terrifier cast here there's a lot of like-minded people who love horror these are your people yeah I don't know if those are our people yeah we've just been sitting there and watching this like ah yeah I was telling Lauren I said that music is giving me high blood pressure yeah it's just that was enough you know that's the whole point, right? So Washington State Horror Con runs through Sunday. For all the details, head to fox13seattle.com slash links.
