I used maple this time,
sugar maple,
which is relatively hard wood.
I don't think it's as hard as the oak,
but it was definitely more difficult to use than the oak.
This tended to chip off and splinter
as opposed to the oak where it splits nice and clean.
I know why oak is my favorite,
but I just figured doing
this for the Hardwoodsman's Group,
I figured I'd do something a little different
than I always do with oak,
but lesson learned, use oak, maple sucks.
