Vast Space Announced Plan to Build Moon Base with SpaceX Shocked NASA!
Vast Space has announced a new Lunar Programs division, setting its sights on helping build a permanent Moon base for NASA. Best known for its commercial space stations, Vast is now developing plans for lunar power systems, airlocks, habitats, and satellite communications. Could this move reshape the future of lunar exploration?
In this video, we explore Vast Space’s new Moon base plan, its three-phase roadmap, and how technologies developed for the Haven commercial space station could support long-term operations on the lunar surface. We’ll examine the proposed Vast Power Station, lunar airlock, modular habitats, and communications network designed to support future astronauts.
But the bigger question is how Vast’s ambitions could connect with SpaceX. With Starship designed to deliver massive amounts of cargo to the Moon, could SpaceX provide the transportation while Vast develops the infrastructure needed to sustain a permanent lunar presence? We also look at how Blue Origin and NASA could fit into this emerging lunar ecosystem.
In this video, we will answer:
What is Vast Space’s plan to build a Moon base?
How could Vast’s lunar infrastructure support NASA’s future missions?
Could SpaceX Starship and Vast work together to establish a lunar settlement?
What roles could Blue Origin and NASA play in humanity’s return to the Moon?
Vast’s lunar ambitions still face significant engineering, funding, and operational challenges, and no joint SpaceX–Vast lunar base project has been confirmed. But the potential implications for future lunar infrastructure are worth exploring.
