President Trump has secured the release of an American who was imprisoned in Russia.
Stephen Hubbard, a 74-year-old retired teacher, had been held in Russia for more than four years after being convicted of fighting as a mercenary for Ukraine's military.
U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff met with Hubbard in Russia after his release and is now flying back to the U.S. with Hubbard and his family. In St. Petersburg, Witkoff thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for releasing him.
