Out there, I think.
Well, we're going to have a rough weekend on the beach.
There's a lot of surf guys.
Yeah.
So you can go out to the beach.
You probably just don't want to get into the water.
Well, it's probably going to be too cool
for Florida folk to get out there.
But for the tourists.
Yeah, that's different.
If you don't know, I mean, if you're just
flipping around here in the hotel
and you're getting the weather forecast,
like the beaches on the Atlantic side,
when it's this kind of a weather setup,
are extremely dangerous with rip currents.
And so, especially if you're not,
like, really experienced in the ocean,
It's best you just look at it, stay out of it.
If you want to have
a nice beach day where you're actually in the water,
the Gulf side will be your best bet,
but it's a couple hours to the west.
A couple-hour drive over there to the Gulf Coast.
60 right now in downtown Orlando.
We've got clear skies right now.
The weather story is this.
We've got a windy weekend developing with a couple showers possible.
47 in Gainesville right now.
61 Orlando, 64 Titusville.
The shower chance because winds will come in off of the water.
But for today, beautiful weather.
79 degrees will be the high in Leesburg, 80 in Kissimmee.
Picture perfect.
Let's go golfing.
Here's a shot from Mission Resort Golf in Howey-in-the-Hills.
John Brown taking this video.
And what an ideal scene that is.
Is he going to get it?
Is it?
Oh, I wish I didn't have this so we could see what the actual play was.
John, how did this end up?
It was close.
Was it a par?
It was close.
They were watchers.
Those young men were watchers.
So I told them, I'll put that one on for you.
All right, awesome.
That's cool.
So there were GDO viewers, and they're on par.
73-11, 78-1, and 79-2.
No chance for rain today, no worries
of lightning or anything like that.
So whether you have a morning tea time
or afternoon tea time, you're good to go.
It'll just be a matter of when do you take the sweater off?
Do you wear like the argyle pattern, John,
when you're golfing, wearing the sweater?
Sometimes.
Yeah, the classic argyle, okay.
High pressure is going to be our controlling factor
in the northeast here over the next couple of days,
pushing in that northeast flow.
But it gets interesting.
Josephine's out of here.
That's that subtropical system we were talking about yesterday.
It's gone.
But it's a tenant.
Cold front's going to develop a new area of low pressure over
the Bahamas over the next couple of days.
zipping northeastward that's only going
to enhance our wind further because there's
now a pressure gradient a difference between high pressure
to the north low pressure to the south
squeeze play of wind that's why we'll have gusts about 25 tomorrow
and up to 35 40 on sunday and
because the flow is off the atlantic we could have
a couple of showers especially especially
favoring coastal counties flagler volusia brevard
but it's not going to be anything resembling a
washout now some of the models
are suggesting south florida may be in for a heavier rain but
not central florida it's just a really about the wind
so here's a look at future radar to give you
kind of a case in point for tomorrow there's like
a 10 to 20 percent chance of showers through the day
we may have one or two passing by but if they
do it'll be like brief it's not going to be anything
that stays for more than 10 minutes we may have
a little more rain Saturday night maybe unlikely
and it's really hard to forecast
and for the models to forecast the evolution of these ocean
systems especially when they're to the east like
this but if you look at like climate history it's
it's not the highest chance
for rain Sunday same story maybe some rain up around Flagler and up
toward Jacksonville as well
but not so much for Orlando it's really a wind forecast we're gonna
have winds ramping up to about 25 30 miles
per hour gusts for our Saturday so if you're playing
golf get ready for that ball to go in directions
that maybe were unplanned to fight the wind on
Sunday same story look at this we can see wind gusts up
to 35 40 miles per hour even into land
for Sunday afternoon.
Waves are going to really respond.
Yeah, we're going to see waves up to about 8 to 10 feet
as we head into the day Sunday and beyond.
So it's just going to be very, very rough.
Otherwise, beautiful weather.
Highs around 80 degrees across the board.
Yeah.
And I think 40% is probably too high on Sunday.
Let me adjust this a little bit.
I'm optimistic for a drier weekend.
All right, it's time for Sound of the Sun.
Let's get to it.
This is a view from, and a beautiful one,
Jodi and Osteen of her German Shepherds
shepherds enjoying the dawn as the sun rises under
a deck of alto cumulus clouds. That is a beautiful
view on the soccer field.
