Stephenson HS Jaguars receive High 5 trophy

The Stevenson High School Jaguars are dominating this season and this morning. They've been on fire this morning with a 7-1 record and an incredible one-point victory over Douglas last Friday. So now we're in DeKalb County honoring the Jaguars as the High Five Sports Team of the Week. And good news, Paul Milliken is live there this morning. You got a trophy to give away, Paul. We do, but I don't want to because I want to stay here forever. Hey, Jaguars, how you doing? This school, in love with this school. And wait, by the way, we've got to correct the record. Paul Milliken made a big error earlier. I shouted out all the sports teams, and they gave me the energy I wanted. I left one out. You guys better give it to me now. Wrestling, where are you at, wrestling? Wrestling team, we got you guys. We got you. We are so happy to be here. Of course, the reason we are here, you're 7-1. Incredible team here. Give it up, everybody, for the Jaguars. How you doing, guys? We are so proud of you guys, and you are continuing a legacy of excellence with this school and this football team. First of all, Coach, how are you feeling being our High Five Sports Team of the Week? Oh, we're feeling amazing, feeling humble to be selected to be the Team of the Week. A special group of guys here, and hopefully we do special things this season. Yeah, well, and again, you guys have a legacy of excellence both on and off the field. How important is it to you every single day to keep that legacy going? Extremely important. I'm an alumni myself, and so we all have that Jaguar spirit around here. And so it's extremely important to continue to carry on the legacy. Yeah, at an event like this where you've got everybody cheering for this team, that's got to feel good. Feels amazing. This is Stevenson. This is Stevenson. Well, let's hear it again. Can we cheer for the team? All right, number eight right here. Say your name and position. KJ Green, defensive edge rusher, LSU commit. Hey, let's hear it, everybody. Come on, come on, come on. Hey, real quick, man. Tell me about working with this group of guys back here. This is a special group of guys. Being here for four years, I mean, I can't ask for anything more. It's a blessing to be with these coaches, these players, and I can't wait to win a state championship. Yeah, let's do it, man, because we want to come back and keep doing it with you. All right, number seven, name and position. Jaden Johnson, running back, number seven, Middle Tennessee State, go Blue Raiders. Hey, and by the way, record-breaking season for you two here in DeKalb County. How does that feel? It feels amazing, especially to do with this group of guys. Yeah, what do they mean to you back here? What's the vibe like with this group of guys? Give us the real story. What's the vibe like with this group? The real story, man, I love these boys, man. They the best, for real. I love that. That's amazing. How are you feeling about going into Westminster tomorrow? We feel great. We want to continue to keep working toward the goals we've been working toward, and we'll have a great game tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to it. I know you will. Well, we are behind you all the way, and we've got one thing left to do. Dr. Saki is standing by with a beautiful trophy right now. If you would, walk it in. Give it up one last time, everybody, for your high-five sports team of the week, the Stevenson High School. This school is epic. They have brought the energy. They have brought the love. They have brought that high-five sports in-your-face spirit, and we feel every bit of it. They are bringing it. What a fight. The Jaguars showing out and making their school proud. Paul, thank you so much. Seriously, we've enjoyed this so much. And in our High Five Sports Game of the Week, the Bulldogs will take on the Lions. North Gwinnett will host Peachtree Ridge tomorrow. Kickoff is at 7.30 at Tom Robinson Stadium in Suwannee. And we'll have game day highlights right here on Fox 5.
