The Timberwolves Just Sent A Terrifying Message...

The Timberwolves just sent an absolutely terrifying message as, let's face it, Anthony Edwards, a.k.a. Ant-Man and LaMelo Ball, are total box office. And I have to say, this was the most fun that I've had watching a Minnesota Timberwolves season opener ever. I'm sure head coach Chris Finch last night in Miami was totally smiling. Welcome back to the Timberwolves Digest. As always, North America, I'm Dave DuBois, and I bring you the latest Minnesota Timberwolves news, trade reports, trade rumors, and of course, a whole lot of commentary coming up. On today's show, we are going to talk about some history made last night in Miami by one Anthony Edwards and, of course, the rest of this Minnesota Timberwolves team. But we begin today with Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball scored or assisted on 82 points in the game last night. Just absolutely amazing. I would love to know what your thoughts and opinions are on the Timberwolves last night. Now, this was my favorite, if you will, Talladega Knights, Ricky Bobby style quote from Ant-Man. Me and him are going to be like best friends. That, of course, was the Ant-Man talking about LaMelo Ball last night in his post-game press conference, and I knew this sort of heading into the start of the season, and we've talked about this a lot, but this is total box office. This is total must-see TV night in and night out game one of 82. And the Ant-Man puts up 45 points in the game. On top of all of that, from a three-point shooting perspective, 21 for 50 for 42%. And when you think about those particular stats specifically, they are off the hook. Look, quite frankly, they're never going to lose a game in the NBA if they put up stats like that night in and night out. Now, of course, that's not realistic. Of course, that isn't always going to happen night in and night out. But still, the way this team actually played last night. And when I say team, I mean team. You know, nobody in the media at all has talked about Rudy Gobert and what he did last night. We'll talk about that a little bit later. But I guess a spoiler alert on that is Rudy had 15 rebounds. All right. So the Ant-Man 45, 10 and 3 on the night and the plus 25. I don't know about you, but I am super excited about this Minnesota Timberwolves team. I've got more, plus Ant-Man's historic night, which involves Wilt Chamberlain. So, do you all know what actually ruins a great outfit? Well, the answer to that question is an old beat-up belt that, quite frankly, hasn't fit right in years. That's why I'm super excited today to have Anson Belt and buckle as the sponsor of today's video Instead of holes Anson uses a micro adjustable track system with quarter inch increments so your belt fits perfectly every single time and I am telling you right now once you experience that kind of fit and comfort trust me you'll never want to go back to wearing a regular belt again now I've been wearing mine non-stop since I got it and honestly it is the best belt that I've actually ever had once you try it trust me you'll never go back to your old belts again and if you're wondering why you should trust them well this is a company that's still proudly family owned and operated and has earned over 40,000 five-star reviews like this one from Chad M they back their belts with a lifetime guarantee on functionality they stand behind every product they make and once you get one you'll see why and because Anson Belt and Buckle is sponsoring today's video when you click the link in the description or scan the QR code to build a box set you'll get two bonus pieces a buckle and a strap completely free that's three buckles three straps which can be mixed and matched into nine unique belt combos all in one box it's an exclusive deal you won't get anywhere else so click the link build your set and upgrade your belt game today after reaching 40 points last night Anthony Edwards has now recorded his second not his first but his second 40 point game in a season opener joining Will Chamberlain and Michael Jordan as the only players in league history to do so multiple times I seriously I said this in the opening but this was the most fun I've actually ever had watching an opening Minnesota a Timberwolves game for a season I want to know what your thoughts and opinions are about the Timberwolves this year how far do you think they can go all right so uh during the post-game uh press conference or post-game uh interview last night inside the locker room Ant was asked about uh one of the players on the Miami bench who was uh basically yapping at him here's what he said when i started talking to him he didn't really have too much more to say i don't really like that he said if you're gonna talk bleep keep talking bleep don't get quiet i think that was pretty much the reason why i was super intense last night all right look i didn't i didn't think that uh the ant-man needed any additional motivation last night for this Minnesota Timberwolves team to perform the way he did. And of course, we know all great players in the NBA like to use motivation in different ways. And Ant-Man, I think, certainly would have come up with something else. I seriously doubt that actually spurred him on to his 45 points, but it is fun nonetheless to mention it. Love to get your thoughts on the overall performance of the entire team. I mean, I thought Kaminga did what we can expect Kaminga to do. I thought AO played pretty well. TJ looked good during spurts. And then, of course, we're going to talk a little bit about Jaden and Rudy Gobert in just a second. But I did want to give LaMelo Ball a little bit of love on his first game with the Minnesota Timberwolves. I thought he did a fantastic job setting the tone. And there is no stat in the NBA for tone setting. Of course, that would be a hard stat to actually come up with. But if there was, LaMelo Ball would have actually had the best tone setting stat in the 11 games that were played in the National Basketball Association last night. Because I think from the jump, he set the tone for this Timberwolves team and then certainly helped expand on that during the third quarter when the team really started to pull away into the fourth quarter. So I loved what I saw out of LaMelo. Look, LaMelo's going to take some absolutely crazy shots. And this team's, of course, not going to win every single game. And of course, they are going to sometimes not shoot 42% from the three-point arc collectively as a team but still watching this team all overall last night I was super excited about what I saw from the Minnesota Timberwolves and finally I did um and Jaden by the way had a great night uh but I did want to give a little bit of love uh to Rudy Gobert specifically for the 15 rebounds in the game all sorts of uh crazy trade talk about Rudy Gobert the last couple months and I think it's just that crazy love to get your thoughts your opinions North America on this Minnesota Timberwolves team how far do you think this team is going to go all right that's all i've got for you today on the uh Timberwolves digest please go ahead and drop in your comments as always i love this quote I'm Dave Duvall wishing you all a tremendous rest of your sports viewing day
