AI GeneratedA weather report warns of dense fog developing overnight due to rising dew points and cool northeasterly winds. While the fog will be thickest along the lakeshore and eventually move inland, it is expected to clear by 10:00 AM tomorrow. The forecast predicts a sunny Friday and a warm weekend, followed by a significant temperature drop and rain early next week.
Take a look at this. This is a live look
from our Estabrook Park Tower camera. It's at about
a thousand feet up, and you can see the stratus cloud.
I am looking just east from the weather
deck, and it's thickening up just off camera here as well,
but this goes to show how thin
the fog layer is, and I'm telling you,
it's thickening up here tonight, and it's going to
be thick as we go throughout the night.
Northeasterly winds, that's blowing in that
cooler air why the fog though
and we talked about this last night last night dew points were in the
40s so we didn't have a ton of fog this morning meanwhile
the dew point has really gone up now
to 57 and when the air temperature
and the dew point are equal that's when you get the fog and
it is going to be thick tonight dense fog expected until about 10
o'clock tomorrow morning now
temperatures see what i mean here 59 Plymouth 58 Grafton 70 in Bristol
so that northeast wind is
bringing in that cooler lake air that in turn
is causing the temperature to drop towards the
dew point that's why we're seeing the dense fog along
the lake shore not so much inland at this
point but as our inland communities cool that's
when the fog will form so it'll be a bit later
for you in our far inland counties i mean look
at this 58 Milwaukee 71 Madison 74 out in La Crosse
and in the Twin Cities. Skies are clear.
Well, that's above the fog, right? As we broaden out
the view for you, stormy weather continuing down
to the southwest with tornado and severe
thunderstorm watches going on in the southwest.
That's not a concern for us around here, but let's
get into Sky Vision Plus, talk more about the fog potential,
because again, it's really going to
thicken up. You see how it starts to work its way
a bit more inland as we head throughout the
nighttime hours tonight
and i think it's going to be quite dense here until about 10 o'clock
tomorrow morning then that fog will burn off
and no real threat for fog tomorrow night because
dew points will be lower so that's good news
but again this is the model picking up on the fog
itself here and there you can see through
the overnight into the morning hours tomorrow and
then as we go into the afternoon abundant sunshine beautiful day
on the way for our friday and then
A few high clouds come in as we go
into our Friday afternoon and evening.
But again, temperatures in the morning will be in the 40s to low 50s.
Dense fog in the forecast tonight.
I want to show you your tailgate forecast because we are going
to be seeing those temperatures in the 60s for Friday
and 70s on Saturday, at least to start for tailgating.
So it is looking gorgeous for game one and game two.
Now, big drop in temperature early next week.
Rain chances creep back in, especially towards Tuesday.
Highs in the 50s early next week.
