How To Make Lemon Meringue Cookies | Easy Lemon Cookies Recipe

Welcome to my channel Ala's Yummy to be here because today I'm going to show you how to make these delicious, crunchy and crispy lemon meringue cookies. They're so cute, you can pipe them into any shape that you like. I prefer to do them sort of round ones, you will see. And they taste super yummy, very lemony and very fresh and crunchy. I want to reach 100,000 subscribers by next year. it's my goal so it makes me so happy to spread the word and share my channel and give it some love guys now let's get started in a clean bowl add your egg whites make sure your bowl is nice and clean and doesn't have any fat otherwise the meringue will not puff up and whip and then start slowly whipping it just with nothing on low speed and then increase the speed as you go until you start to form nice soft peaks just like that and then we're going to add sugar one teaspoon at a time and then just keep whisking your meringue until it starts to sort of become more glossy more fluffy and just keep adding sugar a little bit at a time until your full sugar is completed so this process will take five to seven minutes depending on how much meringue you have and how much how powerful is your whisk and your stand mixer. Once it's all whisked you can see that it becomes nice and white and glossy and you can rub the meringue between your fingers to see if there's any sugar left. If there isn't then it's ready. Add yellow food colouring into your meringue. This is completely optional but I do like the yellow flavour. Then you want to add lemon zest and mix everything together until it's nice and smooth and creamy. Feel free to adjust your colour and consistency to whatever you like. place your meringue into a piping bag and then fill it up until it's full and it should look just like that i've left some swirls then start sort of moving your piping bag into this circle shape feel free to use any other shapes that you like i just wanted to make them into a shape of a lemon i guess so just go around and do sort of like a double layer so it looks just like that we're going to bake these for about one hour at 120 celsius degrees or 250 Fahrenheit once they're done they're really delicious very crispy on outside and very chewy inside they break apart quite easily and have quite a strong lemon flavor I really really like these guys they're fresh and they're lemony and if you like lemon desserts this one is for you I really hope you enjoyed this video don't forget to subscribe leave me a comment and leave me thumbs up as well and check out all my other recipes thanks
