Mississauga subway extension or all-day Milton GO service? Residents are divided
Oct 21, 2026
You know, one of the more buzzy campaign promises coming out
of the Mississauga mayoral
election is actually coming from Bonnie Crombie
and this whole idea of extending Toronto's
subway into Mississauga. What would this consist of?
Well, it would consist of extending the TTC
Line Two into Square One.
Market research firm Liaison Strategies actually conducted a poll
featuring 1,000 random Mississauga residents.
It found that 65% of respondents support a subway
extension but residents are split 45 to 44%
on a subway service versus all-day two-way Milton GO
service which is something the province has been promising since 2024
so we decided to hit the
streets and ask commuters what they prefer
do they want two-way all-day GO or do they want subway
service what if you had to choose one Milton line yeah why
from Milton and i know a lot of
Milton people here that come from Milton so it'd be helpful.
I prefer Subway because it's easy.
What would you prefer? Subway for sure yeah. Why?
Even to get downtown I feel like it'd be a lot
easier for people to have jobs out there
and stuff like that like you could just commute very easily
you know. I definitely would prefer the Subway.
I feel like the Subway is consistent with time.
The GO buses they change depending on whether if there's traffic
or not so I always found the
subway more consistent. What do you think?
Let us know in the comments section. A reminder that
