We do have video of this situation. This time, they're reporting five casualties and multiple injured. The Amazon Boeing 767 plane overshot the runway at Miami International Airport and burst into flames on Sunday afternoon. The cargo plane departed Puerto Rico and crashed as it landed at Miami International Airport around 2 p.m. Eastern Time. The plane hit vehicles on a highway just outside the end of the runway, forcing a ground stop for the airport and the adjoining highway. Amazon contracts all their flights out, and they did not own this jet. This is just speculation, but based on how the situation unfolded, I would bet that multiple casualties were people driving automobiles outside of the airport boundaries. However, no official word as to the casualties at this point. Breaking right now, a ground stop at Miami International Airport after an Amazon Prime cargo jet apparently overran a runway and came to a controlled crash. We are also working on getting some of the terrifying video of this crash. We also have a Fox crew on the way. But the horrifying footage shows what appears to be an Amazon Prime cargo plane crashed right outside the Miami International Airport. And in that video, you can see a thick cloud of smoke coming from the plane. You can also see some flames in it in certain videos. And here's what we do know. The FAA says, as you mentioned, the plane overran the runway, meaning the pilot could have touched down farther than the intended spot. We know that this just happened in the last hour or so after the plane departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico. And the big question is how many people were on board are there any deaths or injuries and just the official cause of this crash those are all questions that we are working to get answers for we are expecting hopefully to hear some hear from some officials soon we know that bystander videos are blowing up on social media right now so obviously this is something that a lot of people in the Miami area saw and experienced so you can imagine how scary that is as you mentioned there is a ground stop at the Miami airport right now the FAA website says it's due to this disabled aircraft on the runway and the FAA will also be investigating but John we are monitoring all of this so as soon as we get some video to show our viewers and some more information we will of course keep everyone updated to bring you some footage of that area although it went over highway 836 this appears to be a Tesla dealership please note these are all Tesla vehicles lined up here various strange indeed it's like uh there was a barrier wall there and it looks like uh well there's a ladder up to the window i would guess that the pilot or co-pilots may have survived this you can see that the wings have been through heck now this plane is quite some distance past 836 into that like i said that Tesla dealership there i saw this plane land with plenty of time i'm guessing the reverse thrusters did not function properly it was raining at the time there were winds crosswinds at the time but i did see the plane land and it It looked like it had plenty, plenty of time, but I didn't see the reverse thrusters kick in or any braking of any sort. So, ladies and gentlemen, say a prayer for these families.
