The Ultimate Travel Guide to Prince Edward Island, Canada 🇨🇦

Prince Edward Island (also known as PEI) is Canada's smallest and least populated province. Famed for its potato farming, rich red cliffs, association with Anne of Green Gables, and gorgeous scenery, in this travel guide we'll show you the very best of PEI, including top attractions and hidden gems.

On our first day on the island we'll spend our time exploring Charlottetown, the capital of PEI and probably the most walkable capital in Canada. Home to historic houses, old museums, a delightful food court, and plenty of hidden gems, there's a lot to see!

The next day we'll head out to the Green Gables Shore, where we'll explore plenty of Anne of Green Gables attractions (including the farmhouse that inspired L.M. Montgomery) before heading to meet a local potter and finishing the day by eating at one of the best restaurants on PEI.

The following day we'll experience more of the North Shore, visiting North Rustico (including local artisanal shops) before heading to the Island Honey Wine Company where we'll sample locally made mead. We'll end the day by exploring several spots in Prince Edward Island National Park, including Brackley Beach and the Greenwich Dunes trails.

For our forth day on the island we'll drive part of the North Cape Coastal Drive (also called the Canadian Oyster Coast), visiting various lighthouses, enjoying hidden gems, and learning more about agriculture on the island by visiting the Canadian Potato Museum.

On our final day on PEI we'll drive highlights of the Points East Coastal drive, beginning at a lighthouse in the provincial park before discovering a particularly unique 'singing beach'. We'll then have lunch at Souris before heading to Confederation Bridge, the longest bridge in Canada.
