Thank you, Chancellor.
New tonight, a mother describes the terror
of a car crashing right into an Orange County daycare
as she was there to pick up her son.
Now, this afternoon, parents helped clean up the damage
at Tattletale's Learning Center in Pine Hills
just days after the crash, and Fox 35's Matt Trezza was there.
People left cleaning up after an SUV crashed into the side
of this daycare in Orlando's Pine Hills community.
Bonnie Doolin says she was picking up
her one-year-old son when it happened.
But that was a nightmare that I don't ever want
to relive again in my life.
Doolin says her first instinct was to protect her son.
The sound from the impact,
I grabbed him and I just went to the floor
with him to cover him because glass was flying.
Florida Highway Patrol says
the crash happened just before 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
They say a 79-year-old man lost control of his SUV
and plowed into the side of the building.
Alexis Doolin-Williams runs the Tattletales Learning Center.
She says she was also in the classroom
when the SUV came through the wall.
We had four kids in there at the time sitting at that table.
They were eating snack and then everything just went haywire.
FHP says EMS took five children to Arnold Palmer Hospital for treatment
and one adult went to ORMC.
Orange County Fire Rescue says 14 people were in the building when
the crash happened. Williams says they all got out quickly.
Everybody like really sprung into
action so fast. We even had people running from the road
and they were helping us do everything
so fast and we got everybody out and quick actually.
Williams has set up a GoFundMe to
help her reopen her daycare in a new location.
I am actually afraid to be on Pine Hills Road now
so I have to relocate and I know I will relocate.
I have faith that it will all work out. FHP is
still investigating the crash. In Pine Hills, Matt Trezza, Fox 35 News.
