Open house for Street Legends Motorsports

Okay, today in Pinellas County, a special open house is happening that's sure to excite car fans across our area. Street Legends Motorsports is giving folks a look inside over in Clearwater, and there's something for everybody, whether you're into classic cars, muscle cars, luxury cars. That is where we find FOX 13's Heather Healy this morning. You might be able to, I heard that you might be able to rev a few engines today and some really nice rides behind you, Heather. There really, really are, Matt. And honestly, to be perfectly honest, I'm not a car girl, but, I mean, it's really cool to see all this stuff. And they've got a ton to offer. Erin is with me this morning. Can we first talk about this car right here? I mean, this is a classic right here. Can you tell me a little bit about this car? This is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. Okay. It was purchased from Streetside Classics, who we partner with up in Lutz. Okay. It's a sweet older couple. They're, like, in their 80s. We just wanted to add power steering and power brakes to make it easier to drive for them. It's mid-project. Yeah, but it's really cool. It's my favorite color. That's why I love standing right behind it. But Street Legends Open House, 9 to 3 today. Tell me what this is all about. So this is about letting the community know that we're here. We're kind of hidden off the road. Nobody knows we're back here. So we wanted to just do this to let people know where we are, what we offer. Come by, see us. and let us help you out with your car, with your project. Yeah, and again, from 9 to 3, you guys are going to have a DJ. You're going to have food as well, right? Yep, we've got two food trucks. We'll have Greek and Jamaican. We might have a surprise truck that didn't confirm, so we don't know if they're going to make it or not. We'll have a DJ and live music all day. Okay. So, yeah. Very cool. And tell me all what you guys offer when it comes to cars and really what people are wanting nowadays. We work on pretty much everything. From '32 Fords to brand-new McLarens like we've got here, anything in between. We do air conditioning installs with Florida Heat and stuff, superchargers, wheels, tires, brakes, suspensions. We do everything. What made you guys want to do this in the first place? Well, it started, I know, years ago. customers would come in to buy a new Cadillac or whatever dealership brand they would buy from and they wanted to personalize their car you know add wheels add a grill whatever and then it just kind of grew from there to people wanting stuff they had other cars at home that they wanted upgraded or performance added or repaired and so we just started offering more and more and it kind of grew into this and it kind of grew into this and I mean it's really exploded here uh we got a few seconds left before we go uh most popular things that people are asking for um probably wheels and tires uh definitely air conditioning um and and probably paint work and paint work all right and you guys they have it all here open house from nine to three tell me the address two five one nine one u.s highway 19 north in clearwater okay then you come all the way to the back that's where uh this is all going to be happening well right here you can see all these cars i mean this classic i mean this bright yellow i mean you guys there's something for everyone here matt i don't know if you're a car guy or not uh but it's really really cool to see in here you know i'm really not i feel like it's like jazz music right like it's this whole world that people get into and it's so deep it's so there are so many kinds i just don't even know where to start so maybe this would be a great starting place for some people and i know that everybody loves cars absolutely like florida loves cars so this should be a really fun time and there should be a lot of people into this so Heather, we'll check in with you in the 8 o'clock hour. Thank you, my friend.
