Government forces have come under fire west of Taiz,
where they said military vehicles have been targeted.
There are also reports of military operations
that have continued uninterrupted since yesterday.
During these operations, positions and military enforcements belonging
to the Ansarallah Houthis were targeted.
Aircraft belonging to the government forces have
been flying over the city almost continuously for several days,
particularly as the Houthis continue to exert strong military pressure,
mobilize forces and attempt to penetrate
the city through its western entrance.
There are several active fronts.
We're talking about the western front
as well as the southern areas of the city.
Government forces have also reported that attacks
and shelling are targeting residential neighborhoods and civilians.
There's been deaths and injuries as well
as material damage to the property of citizens.
We are now entering the 14th or 15th day,
roughly two weeks of the siege.
The siege continues to suffocate the city,
there is no domestic cooking gas and food
supplies are running short.
According to the office responsible for monitoring
the siege here in the Taiz region, food prices
have risen fivefold.
There are warnings that food supplies could
be completely exhausted, particularly as the
Houthi group is also preventing any food supplies
from entering through the western entrance.
The local authorities have also spoken out,
warning against exposing civilians who wish
to enter the city to military operations.
