What to know in the final days of Ottawa's election campaign

We're just days away from election day so it might seem like there's a lot to get caught up on but don't worry our team has everything you need to know to decide who gets your vote. Here are a few quick notes. Election day is Monday, October 26th. All of the advanced voting days they've already passed so that is the last day that you can cast your vote. If you don't know where your polling place is there's a tool on the city's elections website just enter your address and search. Polling stations open at 10 and they close at 8. Don't forget to bring your ID but if you didn't get a voter notification letter don't worry because you don't need that to vote. As for the candidates all but two of the 25 council members are trying to keep their current jobs. The councillors in two wards Rideau-Jock and River were acclaimed but if you live in those wards you can still go to cast ballots for mayor and school trustee. In the race for mayor the incumbent Mark Sutcliffe has a number of challengers including three-time councillor Jeff Leiper, home builder Alex Lawson, and economist Neil Saravanamuttu. Alright, so those are just the highlights, but there's a lot more to know. Head to cbc.ca slash ottawa for all the latest updates.
