Prime Minister makes final pitch for Canadian unity in Alberta
Oct 18, 2026
I know, I know, Alberta's my home, I grew up here,
and this city, this city, this province,
this country have given me everything.
My family, my education, and my values.
This referendum is about something larger than any of us.
It is about the province and the country we love,
and it's about what we can build together.
And don't be fooled by the idea
that you can send a message with your vote.
This is not a game.
This is not poker.
A vote against Canada is a dangerous bluff
that will lead to years of deep uncertainty
and lost opportunities for Albertans and Canadians.
Remember what Kevin just painted,
the picture of what he saw, we saw with Quebec.
Our country and your futures are too precious to play games with.
Remember these three things.
Mark your calendar, Monday, October 19th.
Show your pride.
Bring a friend and vote like Canada's future depends
on it, because it does.
And vote for Canada because it is our duty,
it's our duty to the generations that came
before us and to those who will come after us
to make the greatest country in the world
even better.
Because we are stronger together,
because it's our Canada, it is our future, and we
are just getting started.
Thank you very much.
