Lake Wivenhoe-dam is on the Brisbane Valley Highway.
It is the largest water storage dam in Southeast Queensland and is the main supply of water for Brisbane and Ipswich.
The embankment wall is rock and earth-fill and the dam spillway wall is concrete.
Here we visited two section of Wivenhoe Lake, Cormorant Bay and Spillway Common lookout.
