Kyle Nelson vs. Christian Perez: UFC Fight Preview

We have another Canadian on the card in Kyle Nelson. Nelson lost in March to Terrence McKinney, but he's still four and two in his last six fights. And the thing with Kyle Nelson is he's entertaining, right? Three of his last four fights have ended in knockouts. Either he'll get knocked out, you know what I mean? He'll knock you out. He does show up to fight. What can you tell us? What's your opinion on this Christian Perez dude that gets here coming through the Contender Series so he won on the Contender Series he is 15 and 2 uh in his career and uh his last five fights all of his uh fights have been uh k.o's four knockout wins one k.o loss so odds makers are expecting fireworks here at the one and a half here Tom what do you make of Nelson and Perez should Perez be this big of a favorite in his UFC debut yeah I mean it's always it's always sketchy when you you have a guy that's a big favorite in their debut uh but Kyle Nelson's a guy that he's kind of walked away from the sport a few times he's a full-time firefighter that's that's how he kind of he makes his living UFC keeps giving him contracts he makes a decent amount of money to show up and fight you know I feel like his best days are behind him and Perez he's the guy's a marauder he comes forward throws bombs he's willing to scrap you know either guy could get knocked out in this fight you know we've seen Perez cracked in in the past uh and he's lost by KO as well but um yeah I just I feel like Nelson's a little bit he's past his prime I'm not sure how seriously he's taking his UFC career at this point he's making good money to show up and fight I feel like he will show up and fight. But I think Perez probably puts him out second or third round here.
