Man killed in suspected alligator attack in Winter Garden

We go back to the breaking news in Winter Garden. We've now confirmed that a man was killed in a gator attack. Right now, details very limited. Fox 35's Larissa Leone is live at the scene tonight. Larissa, what else can you tell us? Well, Winter Garden Fire Chief says that he may have been fishing at the time of the attack. Let me step right out of the way. We did just moments ago see a gator with his mouth taped up. Florida Wildlife and Game were there. They were with fishing poles and other tools to try and get this gator out of the water. and we heard a bang. We're not sure what that bang was, but shortly after, that gator was pulled from the water with tape around his mouth. Still very active scene. We have Winter Garden Police still perusing the area. Now, it's focused on that pond where you can kind of see the group of officers standing in that area. That's the area that they've been looking into, but still a very urgent response from first responders here. We've been seeing people running. We've been seeing people, you know, working very hard to try to get to the bottom of this. We were told that there was going to be an update here shortly with additional details. But again, what we know is that there was a male that they say was fishing on this body of water here. And that is when they say a gator attack took place. And unfortunately, that person is no longer living. We do not know the information on that individual who he was what time he started fishing all of that are still questions that we are going to be asking first responders and again that update is coming to us soon and we are going to go ahead and toss it back to you guys so we can get out of first responders way here
