We have multiple major Patriots updates alongside
a sneaky signing incoming as new reports talk
about a workout the Patriots recently had plus
a look into the injury status for Sunday's game
versus the New York Jets with decisions still
to be made on some certain key players. Welcome to
Patriots Digest everybody, I'm Jace Andrews
and I hope you're having a wonderful day wherever you
guys might be. Lots of stuff to get into so I'm
not going to waste any of your time and let's go
right into the first thing
which is a sneaky signing incoming for the New England Patriots
as we did get the report today that Terrell Jennings
a former Patriots workout, former Patriots
running back is worked out for the Patriots
this morning was in town in Foxborough and no signing
has been reported yet but it looks like they
are really really thinking about adding to the
running back room especially after they just
brought back Hassan Haskins and we don't know
the status just yet on Trevion Henderson
but as of right now it wouldn't be a bad idea and here's
the tweet from Mike Reiss of ESPN saying
that Terrell Jennings was in town today for a workout
with the Patriots he was with the team in the past two seasons
and he spent this off season with us
as well but then he landed on the IR on August 13th
and had an injury settlement so that they
could help with the running back depth now he can
be a different way in helping in the running back
depth and he has some decent numbers over
the past couple seasons last year was seven games 73
rushing yards with one rushing touchdown
the biggest game he had was actually against the
Falcons. He was the main back that game and ended up playing very well.
I think it was like 40 yards
of his 73 were in that one contest alone.
So I know that he knows the system. I know that he can
come in here and compete day one.
And right now you're limited to Ramondre. If you don't have
Trevion, then you're limited to Ramondre Keener,
Larrison, and then Hassan Haskins, who just signed
back to the practice squad.
That all being said, I still don't think it matters who we put on the
field this weekend against the Jets.
I feel confident in this team to go out there and get
the win in fact on Couchie it's 74 percent chance for the Patriots
to get the win on yes trades I'm going to
go a little further into the Patriots are going
to win by 10 points or more trading yes on that
with any dollar trade we get you a hundred plus dollars

appreciate Kalshi for sponsoring today's show i think
that right now it is intriguing to see the
Terrell Jennings workout and i think that he
is a perfect fit for this team should you still feel
uncomfortable with your running back room
but i i almost question more to the confidence the
Patriots have in guys like Land Larrison and Corey Kiner
and Hassan Haskins because this week alone
once Trevion went down and expected
to be a multi-week absence which now we know he could
potentially play this sunday they immediately went out
and got Hassan Haskins back on the practice
squad Corey Kiner was the guy i was talking about all week
from Mike Vrabel saying you know we feel
confident and comfortable in him
so I do find it intriguing a little bit now Jennings does fit with
this team I'm not going to sit here
and say that he doesn't knows New England obviously has been
here the past two seasons
and was here this work like this this offseason so like you were in a
good spot with what he had
and I think if he doesn't get injured you probably have him on this
roster right now instead of Hassan Haskins
and you never cut him in some ways but now just because
he worked out it doesn't mean he's going
to sign it just means that you're definitely in a spot
where you're thinking about it
which again given they already signed Hassan Haskins probably shows
you some more confidence issues in him
or in Land Larison I would have liked to seen Terrell get an
opportunity over Hassan to be honest
because he knows this team but at the same time it's still
a fluid decision and it's something that we'll
be watching over to see if they make the signing
a lot of it does depend on Travion I mean if he's gonna play this week
and I don't really know why
you need to add that would be a sixth running back
in your system three on the regular you know
53 man roster and then in theory you signed terrell
to the 50 to the practice squad so unless
you're going to cut hassan or laris
and it kind of makes little to no sense in my ways i do like
him though and that's what like i think it would
actually work out better than hassan um but i don't
know if the Patriots are going to cut him like they don't cut him
and it kind of makes no sense now
as for some other injury issues did get two players
that are officially ruled out for sunday's game
Carlton Davis and Karen Prunty Davis is going
to miss his second consecutive game and his third
out of the first six weeks
so really tough there to see Davis having some injury struggles this
year but I do like that we're going
to get Christian Gonzalez back so I'm not going to be
too upset about losing him Prunty also a guy
who was ruled out last week misses again Kendall
Vildor has been the better kind
of backup point back point guard backup cornerback for the New
the Patriots I'm not going to you know worry too much about
that no other players have been ruled
out they're going to continue to evaluate Will Campbell
and Travion Henderson and A.J. Brown
who we'll get to in just a moment but thanks for Carlton Davis
and uh you know this is a guy who
has faced the Jets a lot and actually you know hasn't
been great in past two meetings but I do
think that the cornerback depth is in an interesting spot you
do feel a lot more confident knowing that
you are going to get back your guy
in Christian Gonzalez like that's obviously a great thing
but at the same time you are going to be missing out on Carlton Davis
who's your other starting
cornerback so you're back to two of three with Marcus Jones
and Christian Gonzalez instead of
last week when you had one of your three starting cornerbacks
so definitely something to be a little
bit concerned about don't have Davis don't have Prunty
but you are going to have Gonzalez so
feels confident in Gonzo you know you know how i feel he's
the best cornerback in the league
he deserves the money and he's going to go out there
and he's going to lock up Garrett Wilson
for us who's the guy that i'm most scared about
in terms of this game if there was anybody that
I could say, hey, you could change the tide.
It'd be Garrett Wilson.
So having Carlton Davis out, but still keeping Gonzo on him,
I feel pretty confident.
Now, I do want to look into a couple other guys as well,
and obviously the rookies on this team have been really stepping up.
I want to actually go to a comment,
because I like to feature comments on videos now,
but let's go and talk about it.
Miss Patriot Jay and Miss Harmony, I believe is her name.
Jace, that's good news, man.
I also like how these rookies are stepping up
and glad to hear about Campbell and Henderson.
They aren't as bad as we thought.
Plus, to see AJ doing well no matter what,
we still got this, my friend.
And, Ms. Harmony, thank you so much for watching.
And, again, if you want to get your comment on the video,
comment on this one,
and maybe you can pop up in the next one.
But let's talk about Trayvon Henderson
because he is going to be a decision for game day.
He is on field at practice all three days.
He looked great yesterday, and they were on the practice field early.
You know, it seems like they have a legitimate shot.
Travion's such a big piece of this team.
I cannot express how big he has been.
First twelve games in the twenty twenty-five regular season.
you know what it was the last five games he changed
the dynamic of this team when he started
to do it and uh you don't have to always make him cut i like
to bring this and i brought up yesterday
when i talked about the injuries
but just let him run uh don't don't make him run straight up and
have to cut throughout that middle part
of the line he only runs fifteen percent to the right or left end
let him go on halfback pitch let him go
on a halfback stretch no reason to do the dives no
reason to get to any sort of run up the gut
and make him try and cut through that line give him
his speed option let Will Campbell set
the edge let Morgan Moses set the edge and you can go out
there and let him use his speed
and not have to use that cut as much now ultimately you are going
to have to cut back eventually
but i do think that is something that you can wait till you get for
instead of having him maneuver his way inside that line
and it always makes me very scared for that
ankle to get you know twisted up inside
that offensive line we know that how many times
as we get the offensive lineman getting his leg rolled up on.
But as of right now, you do have Ramondre as your main guy.
I think he's still going to take extra snaps.
You got Jennings potentially coming
in here if you decide to sign him yesterday.
And again, we do not know about Henderson just yet.
Big game, obviously.
Want to keep in line with the Buffalo Bills.
Stay with them.
We expect them to win.
So I'm just going to say we're going to win.
So that's going to be a big thing.
But of course, the major decision,
probably one that everybody's waiting for, is A.J. Brown.
we still don't have a full certain thing
on him Mike Vrabel said the day that basically they're
going to wait until tomorrow to make the full decision
his status still up in the air and again
as we said yesterday it's going to be about making
the decision for the long haul not for right now
but for the long haul Brown does feel better said
he's you know good looks like it's all good we
know what McDaniels has said about AJ Brown
as well you know obviously brings the energy brings
the juice but at this time Mike Vrabel has said
we don't know just yet we're going to wait until
tomorrow if he misses this game it's whatever I would like
to see him back versus the Bears on
Thursday night but at the same time I'm not going
to be too upset with it so we'll have to wait and
see let me know what you think though about Brown whether
or not they should play him a for yes b
if you think that he should rest
for one more week let us know down in the comment section and
then as always I want to finish with one
of our comments as well let's pull up this one from
Dwight saying Landry should be returning at some point
my guess is early November I think adding a
good running back would be a need backups are okay
but Stevenson is going to be ground down if his
workload continues hey I don't I don't mind it Dwight
and I guess what Terrell Jennings could
be that option so thank you for the comment
we're gonna see you next time here on the show
we appreciate you watching peace out
