Norte Fire: San Clemente under evacuation orders

Definitely did get contact now with some of the people that are controlling the airspace. Of course, they're not going to let us go into it, into it like where the firefight actually is, but we're going to definitely be able to get closer, be able to see some more of these neighborhoods and get an idea where that wind is blowing these flames this afternoon. That area that I show you right there, that's back to that major, that big house with somebody who's got a water cannon in the backyard. Again, is that a good thing? Is that a bad thing? That's a discussion for a different time. That's Avenida Placentia and Cala Mar Monte. I like that. But at any rate, that's on the spot. And this is kind of where the fire must have started. That's Skyfire right there because we have to kind of work our way back and forth to do that climb. But it definitely shows that there's a lot of area that has already been burnt. Not that, not that, not that, but this most definitely is an area. You can see where it's all blackened. That has basically just all been burned. Some of those fire check lines that we saw those planes dropping when they first got out here. And I'm also seeing some firefighters. But that is going to be the foot of the fire. The head of the fire is definitely making its way up this way. And look at some of these flames as we're getting a little bit closer. This is what they're having to deal with out there. And, of course, there are no homes here. That is evident, but there are homes on the lower side. Is the fire going to get there? You know what? Better safe than sorry. The fire department's telling you to move along. Get on out. Please do. We do see a couple of vehicles out there. You see cars backing up. We don't see anybody rushing out there, which is also very, very good. I'm going to do the digital doubler. But definitely folks out there loading up vehicles in some of these neighborhoods. Are they under the mandatory evacuation? Or are they just looking out their window and saying, yeah, maybe we should move along at least for a little bit? whatever it is it's probably the wise thing to do the winds definitely are howling down there and of course we talk about it in the past with our meteorologists about how you know they may it fire makes its own weather it definitely does especially when it's climbing up those hillsides and devouring that light flash fuel this is kind of the area where i was talking about earlier on i don't know if there's a structure down there or what it is but those are two definite water tanks and then you also see some antennas. A lot of times when you see those antennas, there is going to be a structure. Is it a home? No. But is it an outbuilding that's housing maybe repeaters or something? It could be because that spot definitely has been burning for more than a minute and that area was really putting out a lot of black smoke. I'm going to move the camera now towards the north. So we're starting over here on the southern end and also gives you an idea of the length of this fire. We're only seeing that one dimensional shot. Now we're seeing a little bit of a two-dimensional shot and this is what I was trying to to express earlier on this area that is on fire where it's hopscotching around and just running up these hillsides this is all nature area there isn't much homes up on top of these hills and you know good bad on purpose doesn't make any difference right now the fire department and myself happy to say that there are no homes there and that's a blessing we do have a line of fire making its way down over here to this location we have some storage i would venture to say storage down there uh some rvs but again a whole of housing you know planned area no homes there yet also probably a blessing uh dylan's doing a great job we're climbing a little bit by little bit and it does give us a lot better of a view and gives you a look at that what a different site now if you're watching and you live in this area, you know somebody that does, you're going to be able to say, okay, these are the areas, these are the spots.
